Founded in early 2017, LifeX helps people settle into a new city by taking care of all the practicalities and providing a fully serviced co-living to start making friends from day one. In short one year, we have grown to 15+ apartments in the center of Copenhagen and Berlin with 105+ active members. With early investment from Founders.as and stellar angel investors, we are scaling rapidly to take over Europe.

Expansion Manager Role

As first member of the expansion team, you will be responsible for the launching and executing new cities for LifeX. This includes research into new territories, building a local staff and also helping in the initial setup until a local team is up and running. You will be working very closely with one of the co-founders/COO in this position to craft a expansion strategy and also help build the team.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of launching new cities and help evolve expansion strategy
• Sell LifeX as a concept to new partners and potential employees in a city
• Hire, setup and manage local teams in different countries
• Support CFO to implement the right legal structures in cities
• Document and train city staff on LifeX expansion tools
• Fly to the city and execute setups for first few openings until city team is trained
• Be the first community touchpoint for members in a new city
• Create analytical models and tools to implement plans
• Success will be measured on the number of cities successfully activated 

Who are you

• 3-5 years startup expansion, management consulting, or similar role
• Have a strong analytical and execution mindset
• Likes wearing multiple hats in a fast growing ambitious startup environment
• Can work with little guidance and have ability to travel +50% time
• Great at communicating and training new employees
• Likes being hands on and wants to get things done
• Experience understanding regulatory and legal world is a plus
• Experience hiring and managing cross border teams is a plus
• Can be located in Copenhagen or Berlin
