Since July 1st 2018, programming is part of the curriculum for all Swedish elementary schools, affecting approx. 1 million students, only in Sweden. We are developing a complete teaching aid for text programming for beginners. Now, we're entering an exciting phase as we now have our first customers. One of our main focuses during the following year will be to keep developing the product based on their needs and our shared vision of becoming a complete teaching aid for programming.


As the full-stack developer in our team, you will spend the majority of your time on the backend side, but also take responsibility of new features being implemented all the way to the frontend. You enjoy taking a new feature from idea to production, through feedback from teammates and customers.

With you as a full-stack developer, we want to:

  • continue develop features to allow teachers to follow their students’ progress in real-time;
  • collect, analyze and present statistics on accumulated user data (such as common error messages in the students’ codes);
  • integrate with various systems through APIs; and
  • create the world’s best learning experience for programming.

As a part of our small, passionate team, you will get a lot of influence on where the product is heading, which features to prioritize and our internal workflow.

It is important that you:

  • have experience of any .NET framework;
  • are comfortable working with CSS, HTML and Javascript;
  • have experience of working with relational databases; and
  • share our vision of creating the world’s best learning experience for programming.

It is meriting if you:

  • have experience of working with Umbraco or other CMSes;
  • have any experience of designing/building APIs;
  • have any experience in teaching, in any context; or
  • have experience working in SCRUM or any other sprint-based workflow.

There are two sides of the product: ZIFRO PLAYGROUND, where the student practices problem solving and programming in Python through gamified exercises, and ZIFRO TEACHER, containing lesson plans and tools to evaluate the learning process of the students.
