Country Manager for the Hub in Norway

Nordic Impact has partnered with Danske Bank to run The Hub in Norway. We are looking for an outgoing and engaging full-time Country Manager to be the local face of The Hub in Norway, while handling its daily operations, strategic planning and business development.


Your Profile

With experience in business development and project management, you are proactive and hands-on, taking ownership and leading projects and processes from idea to execution. You are outgoing and a natural networker, as well as are a multi-tasker, who works well in a fast-paced environment and handling a wide variety of tasks and responsibility. You have a strong understanding of, and interest in, the Nordic startup ecosystem, and you are motivated by the opportunity to create solutions and contribute to the value of the startup ecosystem in Norway and across the Nordics.

 

About The HUB

The Hub is a free-of-charge community platform tailored to the needs of growth/Nordic startups. The Hub gives an overview of the Norwegian and Nordic startup community by providing visibility to all Norwegian startups. Via the platform, startups can get assistance with their recruitment of talent, connection with investors and access best practice tools (e.g. employment contract, pitch deck). The Hub also features an Event Calendar, where both startups and attendees can get an overview of the upcoming events in the startup ecosystem.

 

Responsibilities as Country Manager

  • Scout and network in Norway and across the Nordics
  • Organize, attend and participate in local events
  • Startup contact: lead sourcing, relationship management
  • Collaborate with local Danske Bank team on partnerships and local initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of the Hub as the leading recruitment platform for Startups in Norway
  • Local marketing optimization
  • Oversee operational tasks and support where needed
  • Team responsibility: 0,50 FTE Operations Manager

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in business development and project management, relevant for the ecosystem
  • Strong knowledge and know-how within the Nordic startup ecosystem
  • Good presenting skills and comfortable on stage
  • Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, verbal and written
  • Experience with digital content and Social Media marketing
  • Know-how to engage and talk to startups – a creative writer/storyteller
  • Data-driven approach and experience in working with KPIs

  • Strong relationship skills and natural networker
  • Driven and proactive with high degree of independent work
  • Structured and hands-on in setting up and driving processes from idea to execution
  • Excellent cooperation with others and strong facilitator; ability to motivate and engage
  • Business acumen – strategic, ability to identify improvement ideas and focus efforts in the right areas
