Spond has built what is Norway’s leading service for organizing teams, sports, activities and events. Our aim is to make organization of sports and events simple and efficient. Today 300.000 sports coaches, parents and team leaders are using our service and we have a vision to offer our products globally. We are now developing a new and modern platform tailored for sports clubs and we are looking for a strong lead frontend developer to lead the frontend development.

Your day at Spond:

As our Lead Front-end developer you will be building and maintaining a new and modern platform for the millions of sports teams around the globe. You will be given the freedom, trust and responsibility to lead the;

planning, development and stack selection. In addition you will build the: 

architecture of the front-end platform, the pattern library, drawing out UI components and building a robust modular system making rich interactive experiences. 

In this role you will work closely with tech, product, design- and the management team to secure momentum throughout the development stage. 

Responsibilities: 

• Take part and lead on the development lifecycle from ideation to deployment. 
• Build and implement the architecture of the platform
• Build and develop the future platform for sports teams using modern web technologies. 
• Participate in the whole process from planning, design, implementation and deployment of features
• Work closely with UX designers and backend developers

Qualifications:

• You have several years of experience with modern web development, and you are updated on trends and technology. 
• You have built large applications using modern JavaScript/HTML/CSS
• You have vast experience from implementing design for web, as well as integrating web applications with API’s
• You have experience with most of the following technologies: React, Vue, AngularJS/Angular, Sass, ES6/E7
• You are well familiar with the layout, building and packaging of modern JavaScript, e.g. Webpack
• You take initiative and responsibility for the work required.  
• Experience with backend and devops is a plus, but not a requirement.
