Matrikel 1 is a new innovation House on Højbro Plads in the very center of Copenhagen, that will open in May. It's going to be a focal point for entrepreneurship and disruptive business in Denmark. Matrikel 1 is going to provide high-end event space, membership club, food and drink bar, flexible work space, lounge and offices uniquely for creators at the edge of their field.
Newly opened innovation hub Matrikel1, is looking for a skilled event manager.
Our fast growing start up community so far consisting of Matrikel1, Founders House, Startup Village and Mesh (Oslo) which together services hundreds of start-up’s and provide co-working spaces for innovative companies, are looking for a new event manager to onboard and book events for members and non-members.
Notable community members, past and current, include Realm, Vivino, Peakon, Brain+, Woomio and Dixa. Founders House recently won “Best Coworking Space in the Nordics.”
We are looking for a candidate that is genuinely interested in working within the startup community, enabling others’ succeed and servicing people. You’ll play an important part in our community with some of the most driven and inspirational people in the country.
About you:
- You have a proven track record and experience in event management, relationship management, community building or membership management.
- You are a responsible and structured person and considers no task too small.
- Great interpersonal skills and an ability to talk to everyone, even strangers.
- A strong work ethics and get-things-done attitude, even if you feel something is outside of your job description.
- An eye for service and an attention to detail.
- Aptitude for working with online tools.
- A goal-oriented team player, who can stick to budgets and manage minor projects and events on their own. Willingness to commit at least next three years to Matrikel1.
- You understand the startup scene and what creates value for entrepreneurs and their companies.
Your responsibilities:
- Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery, including responsibility for the projects budgets.
- Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations.
- Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project.
- Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships.
- Managing supplier relationships.
- Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
- Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to the team.
- Staying updated on the start-up scene and progressive new events that pushes the bar higher to what we can host at Matrikel1.
- Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery.
- Ensure strong personal ties between members in the community by way of introductions, internal events, community management and social gatherings.
- Booking and promotion of events.
- Administrational tasks such supplier management, procurement, budgets, HR.
