Nordgreen is a Danish watch brand which blends Scandinavian minimalism with fine cratsmanship of a leading Danish designer. The venture operates globally through a novel cross-border e-commerce approach. We are seeking out a talented native Chinese individual with knowledge in - or experience with - global e-commerce, to manage and grow Nordgreen's presence in China. This is a unique opportunity to get complete end-to-end P&L responsibility in one of the world's largest watch markets.


The Role

Nordgreen is currently looking for a General Manager for China to build, manage and grow the brand’s presence in the country. Nordgreen’s Country Team's are passionate entrepreneurs with exceptional leadership skills as well as the ability to get their hands dirty and build something from the ground up. Having an exceptional can-do attitude coupled with a high sense of urgency as well as an ability to be persistent and relentless is of utmost importance when building a company from the ground up, which is the underlying reason for why Nordgreen primarily looks for candidates who have previously worked in high-performance environments and/or have some sort of entrepreneurial background.

As a General Manager for China, you will have the full responsibility for Nordgreen’s P&L in the country, meaning that you will be responsible for all aspects of the business system. Marketing, sales, operations, campaign planning, customer service, and continuous innovation are therefore all elements which you need to take care of on a daily basis. In order for you to be able to meet your targets effectively and efficiently, you’ll have access to a high-level network of privileged partnerships. You will, for instance, have full access to one of the world’s largest affiliate networks, the technology platform of Blazar Capital, a complete logistical setup, as well as an excellent base of like-minded people which you can leverage. Responsibilities

  • The General Manager for China has overall end-to-end responsibility for the P&L, results, and growth strategy of Nordgreen in China.
  • Ownership and management of the Nordgreen brand identity in China – including the management of product reviews, external content, and forums.
  • Configuring Nordgreen’s multi-channel growth tactic and campaign strategy based on local consumer behaviour: SEO, SEM, social paid, eCRM, affiliate marketing, referral marketing, push notifications, traditional, mobile native and web, programmatic display, etc. will have to be taken into consideration.
  • Managing Nordgreen's presence on T-Mall, Taobao, and other local platforms.
  • Identifying and implementing new and innovative ways to drive traffic to the Chinese website as well as developing and improving traffic from the aforementioned channels.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders, prioritizing new customer acquisition at the lowest cost possible.
  • Work in synergy with the rest of the Nordgreen international team to identify new growth opportunities and ways in which to improve our brand reputation and presence in China.
  • Deliver best in class experience partnering closely with design and editorial teams to brief and build engaging product pages that provide the customer with relevant information, advice and conversion opportunity.
  • Using our in-house data & technology platform to retrieve data and examine valuable insights on customer behavior and trends.


Requirements

  • You hold a degree in economics, finance, business administration, or an equivalent academic field from a leading university.
  • You have experience with working in a fast-paced, high performance environment.
  • You are entrepreneurial and have a passion for creating things from scratch.
  • You are proactive. relentless, reliable, and have a high sense of urgency which makes it easy for you to excel a dynamic environment.
  • You are based in Copenhagen or are willing to re-locate to the city.
  • You don't need a Danish visa sponsored by the company.
