As a data scientist at Samtrygg you will work in a dynamic startup environment where you will be given great responsibility and space to take your own initiatives. The role includes a comprehensive responsibility for developing and improving our business, and your duties will thus include both operational and strategic work.

The right person does not only have the necessary technical ability to solve existing problems - but also has a curiosity in investigating what problems that need to be addressed. We also place great emphasis on your ability to combine the use and interpretation of data with relevant business goals and future business opportunities. You are, in other words, a multifaceted computer scientist, with a good ability to anchor decisions in statistics and computer science, as well as meeting demands in trends and business development.

We sit in a newly renovated, bright office, right by Humlegården in central Stockholm, where we sometimes also enjoy a game of pinball or ping-pong. Responsibilities in your role include:

● Investigation of different analysis issues to ensure information quality and identify potential problem areas

● Compilation and interpretation of data

● Find new ways to develop and improve Samtrygg's operations based on relevant trends

● Create and present reports and interactive interfaces with the purpose of analyzing Samtrygg's operations

● Initiate and manage projects that create value for Samtrygg's operations

● Review and optimize processes as well as certain computer architecture

● Suggest how machine learning techniques can be used to improve processes

The role will consequently include both more operational tasks where you will work with different analytical methods and programming languages as well as more strategically oriented tasks where you use your expertise to develop and improve our business through appropriate projects or other initiatives.

We are looking for someone who...:

● Have at least 3 years of experience from similar tasks

● Have good insight into programs that are necessary for many of your operational tasks, such as R, Python, SQL

● Is comfortable with the handling and reviewing of different machine learning techniques

● Is a good communicator and manages English and Swedish fluently in both speech and writing

● Have a good ability to manage projects with a commercial ground and to base decisions on relevant information

● Have a solution-oriented approach and can take own initiatives when necessary

● Is strongly motivated by improving both our business and technology

● Have a positive attitude and communicates this both internally and with other stakeholders
