About you

You are a skilled, JS-focused frontend developer, that will become the main contributor to our frontend web app. We hope you are a passionate coder and want to have fun while taking part in changing the way our next generation learns. We imagine you can see yourself in most of these traits:

Technical:

• 3+ year experience as a frontend developer.
• Strong in JavaScript and the technical aspects of frontend development.
• Experience building web apps with UI JavaScript libraries (like React/Vue/Angular)
• Good understanding of component-based architecture in single-page apps.
• Good understanding of structuring data flow and state management.
• Ability to learn new tech/tools when needed.
• Ability to review and optimize performance.
• Ability to make good decisions that support maintenance of the codebase.
• Preferably experience with RESTful services and APIs.
• Bonus: Knowledge of CI, cloud services platforms, testing, PHP

Personal:

• You are positive and will engage in finding good solutions with your teammates.
• You are focused on making the best experience for our users.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

The role

• Main contributor to the WriteReader frontend web app.
• Develop new interactive features that integrate with backend APIs.
• Participate in the conceptualization and design of new interfaces.
• Work closely together with Junior Frontend Dev, Backend Dev and Tech Lead.
• Occasionally work on our website.
