Let’s face it, invoicing sucks. But it doesn't have to be that way, and that’s something Billogram has already proven. We’ve transformed billing into a positive part of the customer experience, by inventing the digitally shared invoice.
We are a fintech startup whose goal is to transform invoicing from stale payment requests into a shared and interactive meeting place that creates value for both businesses and consumers. In short, we want to move the focus of invoicing from transactions to the relationship.
Our development team is growing, and we’re now looking for an experienced UI Designer to join one of our cross-functional teams. Here you’ll work closely with your team, but also collaborate with people both inside and outside of product development, focusing on one new feature at a time. Billogram is a B2B2C company, meaning we work both with business and their customers. This model brings unique challenges to the design profession, not least when it comes to visual presentation and communication. We need you, as a UI specialist to help us solve these challenges in new and improved ways.
At Billogram the design process begins with research, sketches and prototypes, a process that you will touch on and often overlap with our UX designers. However, the bulk of your work consists of taking these sketches all the way to a functional and delightful pixel perfect design, ready for implementation. At this stage you’ll work in tandem with frontend developers to get the end result just right. Imagine working in short cycles with continuous iterations. Every project is different from the last. We learn from our mistakes, improve our processes and grow in our own profession, all while supporting each other in every step of the way.
Together, all designers at Billogram build and maintain our design language and as our UI specialist we want you to contribute a great deal to that process. We will also rely on you to continuously develop Billograms design system and component library. Last but not least, you’ll get to take ownership for our style guide and the way we think and communicate our design values.
Whether it’s been apps, web based products or marketing material, you’ve been working a few years with digital user interfaces. You’ve likely had some experience of working closely with frontend developers, and are no stranger to the process of UX design. Yet, you’re passion lies in visual design and creating delightful, communicative interfaces for the modern world. For us, it’s a plus if you’re familiar with tools like Sketch and Invision. In addition to this, we expect you to have an excellent grasp of English, both in written and spoken form and, since our product is multilingual, we also regard fluency in Swedish and German as an advantage.
We think that you’re a great problem solver, have an excellent ability to communicate your design work to others, and you thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment. You’re curious and compassionate. You take ownership of your designs and are comfortable with your abilities. Yet you know how, and when, to change your mind.
If you are after a workplace that offers a relaxed environment, with long-term goals and plenty of freedom when it comes to individual preferences and how you approach your work, then this is probably the place for you!
If you have any questions, or want to know more about us, then don’t hesitate to get in-touch. By now you’re hopefully already imagining yourself joining the Billogram team, and if that’s the case, we look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible!
