At Hold, we want to help people develop a healthy relationship with the technology they surround themselves with. Our first step was to create the app Hold; an innovative mobile app that helps students focus in school by rewarding those who spend time away from their smartphones. At Hold, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team, working on the product from high-level ideas, through prototyping and testing, to new features and and improvements in the app.

In recent years, the massive advances in technology has changed the world in countless ways. Most of them for the better - but negative side effects of this development is starting to show. The never ending battle from the digital world to grab your attention, be it through social media, emails or TV, has proven to cause great harm to a large portion of the population. These distractions has cut our attention span in half, cause anxiety and insomnia, and hurt our ability to develop personal relationships. 

At Hold, we want to help people develop a healthy relationship with the technology they surround themselves with. We want to use the best of technology to combat the worst. As students trying to solve an immediate problem for ourselves, we created Hold’s first product; an innovative mobile app that helps students focus in school by rewarding those who spend time away from their smartphones. Hold has become very popular in Norway, and in the last few months, we’ve started to gain traction in the UK after being featured on BBC World News, and in an array of news articles. Hold consists of a diversified team with experience from e-commerce, retail banking, marketing and software development. The whole team has international work experience and is 100% devoted to making Hold an international success. We are in the process of getting funding to develop a massively scalable product and business, and we’re looking for the right people to join us in doing so. Currently, we’re looking for software developers with experience from creating apps with React Native. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team, working on the product from high-level ideas, through prototyping and testing, to new features and improvements in the app. We’re always seeking for ways to make our product better for our users, and are looking for people who are creative, has a passion for technology and product development, and are always eager to learn.
