Chief Marketing Officer

Salary Competitive

Graduateland is the market leader of recruitment of students and graduates in the Nordics. Especially in Denmark. And we're picking up more pace now. So we're aiming at competing with Jobindex and taking over the job search market in Denmark in its entirety. We need a brilliant CMO to help us do that. Is it you?

Graduateland is growing rapidly and we’re looking for an experienced marketeer to join the Marketing team. You will be in charge and be part of the management team.

We have three main goals for you:

  • Market our recruitment and employer branding services (which include innovative solutions such as virtual career fairs and analytics tools) to our existing +10.000 registered companies
  • Take responsibility of a marketing strategy that takes into consideration the classical challenges of building a 'market place' in terms of critical mass of candidates and recruiters across local and international markets
  • Structure and execute paid and unpaid campaigns to reach new companies and users according to above mentioned marketing strategy

You will have a pivotal role in Graduateland and be connected to all our departments.

So, are you a digital marketeer who wants to take the leading role in a company that aims at changing the way recruitment is conducted? Then read on.

The job

You’ll be working closely together with the CEO and the CPO in developing a new marketing strategy for Graduateland. Through our core market is European, we are increasing the focus in Denmark and considering expanding our niche of students & graduates to also include candidates with up to 10 years of experience. Yes, we're venturing into Jobindex-land...

We need you to take the lead on not only specifying the game plan of how to conquer the world but also be the main driver of the concrete campaigns.

We’re not dogmatic about which channels to choose (Facebook, Linkedin, AdWords, emails etc.) and it’s probably gonna be a mix of all of them, but you need to make the qualified calls in regard to where our marketing focus should lie to get the best results. That means if you have that magic growth hack up your sleeve which will double our user database in a month we will not complain, although you didn’t use any of the conventional marketing channels.

In Graduateland, our approach is open and curious, which means we accept experiments which don’t fly right away as long as we analyse our experiments thoroughly and derive validated learning from them. With that approach we know that we’ll succeed in the long run.

Who you are

  • You are a passionate digital marketeer with a track record in paid, owned and earned media.
  • Your digital toolbox is explosive! Whether it’s called Facebook Business Manager, AdWords, Linkedin Campaign Manager, Unbounce, Intercom, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Klipfolio, or other tools that we even haven’t heard of yet.
  • You have several years of experience within digital marketing and working with unit metrics.
  • You think strategically, love to define The Grand Plan and communicate it to the team.
  • You are the person who looks 3 years ahead and can see where the market is going, but can also sit down and produce the copy for 20 ads for an Adwords campaign which needs to be launched tomorrow morning!
  • Although you don’t hold a doctoral degree in Psychology, you know what triggers the digital minds which means you know the subtle skills of nudging.
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are result-oriented and like to build KPI dashboard, so you and the rest of the team can monitor all the steep growth curves that your marketing activities create.
  • You have an understanding of building user journeys and funnels to identify where the biggest wins are.

  • A position where you get take lead from day 1
  • An informal work environment with a lot of freedom and high ambitions
  • Fantastic colleagues
  • A competitive salary
  • A healthy business and an awesome product which our customers love

Required language

English is a must, Danish is a big plus (we're going deep in DK, remember!). Although our headquarter is located in Copenhagen we have co-workers with 11 different nationalities - so the language spoken at the office is English.

We are in good company with companies like Vivino, ChurchDesk, Founders House, Planday, Shape, and Donkey Republic, so there are plenty of events and knowledge sharing with other interesting companies.
