As an engineer in the development department at SOUNDBOKS, you will be part of one of the fastest growing hardware startups - developing, manufacturing and selling the world’s loudest battery-powered Bluetooth speaker, primarily targeting European and American markets. At SOUNDBOKS we expect a lot, and with those expectation follows great amounts of sparring and helping each other.

Your role will be in the development team where you will work closely with your colleagues and external development partners to develop and execute innovative technical concepts, that will give SOUNDBOKS products a competitive edge. Development of products will be based on the well-established SOUNDBOKS brand and community, as well as direct feedback from customers.

It is important that you have the desire to always continue learning.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

To fulfill these responsibilities, you should have

• An extensive knowledge of embedded software and can apply it in practice
• Can proactively foresee issues and have the guts to include the whole development team in problematic situations
• Have an understanding of audio system design, e.g. power electronics, DSP, Bluetooth and wireless audio streaming.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing embedded software for inter-IC communication in our products
• Collecting and specifying all embedded software developed by external partners for our coming platform products (Bluetooth, DSP, proprietary network)
• Developing and debugging full software packages to be uploaded through Bluetooth OTA updates
• Outlining and researching technical possibilities and turning these into product concepts
• Communicating with local and global business partners with the goal of implementing externally developed software successfully
