To support this mission, we are now searching for a Chief/Senior Data Scientist.

As a Chief/Senior Data Scientist, you will be a leading member of a team of data scientists. The data science team develops, tests and manage the models and algorithms used. A large portion of the work will be research-based. The results from the data science team is important parts of the functionality in the products and services being developed at Intelecy.

Technical:

• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
• Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
• Combine models through ensemble modeling
• Present information using data visualization techniques
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Lead and inspire engineering and product development teams

Knowledge:

Continue to develop and build knowledge and competence in the field of data science. Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends. Contribute and share knowledge and experience with the team and other employees.

Active role in the community:

Take an active role in the Data Science community and develop a global network of contacts in the field of Data Science, R&D and academia.

Leadership:

Take a leading role in the Data Science Team by inspiring and motivating team members and contribute to building the team by attracting more talented data scientists.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate professional conduct and a constructive attitude at work internally and externally.
• Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers.
• Support product teams and sales teams communicating the functionality and usage of the relevant functionality.
• Support the product owner describing features in the backlog.
• Contribute to sprint retrospective evaluation and continuous improvement of the software development, product quality and company operations.
• Analyze customer systems and technical issues in order to find better solutions.
• Follow the coding standard principles defined by the company for all software development.
• Always adhere to the company’s ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Master of Data Science, Computer Science or other relevant higher education
• Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning
• Extensive practical experience as a Data Scientist
• Experience as engineering team leader
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong position in the Data Science community
• Strong software development skills in Python, R or similar
• Experience using data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Storm)
• Experience with Time Series
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
• Problem-solving aptitude

• You have a passion for data visualization and creativity in selecting appropriate representations for different stakeholders
• You can explain Data Science to non-scientists (customers and partners)
• You can communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language
