What is Swappie? Swappie is a small team with fast paced, learning-oriented individuals, building a marketplace for refurbished smartphones.

We are under 1 year old high-growth startup-company operating in Finland and about to launch internationally. In this position you will be working with various UX/UI developer tasks, mostly website conversion optimization and ad designing. You will be given complete ownership to develop our e-commerce UI/UX together with a back-end developer. Also, you will be handling marketing channels with a freedom to innovate your own growth hacks! We expect you to take part on the following responsibilities:

• Translate concepts and feedback into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions for a wide range of devices and interfaces
• Continuously optimizing our website conversion rate based on A/B tests.
• Continuously optimizing our digital ads based on A/B tests.
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Make strategic design- and UX decisions related to all aspects of the product.

Skills / Technologies required:

• Illustrator, Sketch & Photoshop (and other similar).
• HTML/CSS.
• Experience from Facebook/Google Adwords/Analytics or similar ad platforms seen as a plus.

Programming language skills seen as a big plus:

• JavaScript, Java and PHP

Other skills seen as a big plus:

• Online marketing analytics
• SEO-optimization skills.
• Proficiency in Swedish or any other language (Finnish and English is a must)

We use WordPress as our e-commerce platform so previous knowledge is seen as a huge plus but not required if you can adopt it quickly. You will be able to work with some of the fastest growing marketplace/e-commerce experts in Finland and has a huge opportunity to grow with us.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about all things in UI/UX as well as other areas of design and innovation. Ad-design skills with a growth-hacking, results driven-attitude is a must. Our ideal person is more driven by results than purely typography or art. Previous experience in UI/UX designing from work and/or own projects is also a must. You are an enthusiastic and open-minded person, who enjoys sharing your own experience and knowledge with others as well as learning and receiving feedback from them. You have social skills that enable you collaborate closely and easily with core team members and stakeholders. In order to succeed in this position we expect you to communicate fluently in English and Finnish.
