Working as a Data Engineer here at Bannerflow is about being knee-deep in challenging and complex technologies and developing a highly scalable and available analytics system that is the backbone of the analytics part of our SaaS platform.

A number of events we collect, process, store and analyze have grown with 50% the last year, and we expect the growth to continue.

We are a truly agile company without hierarchy and bureaucracy, we work in small autonomous and cross-functional teams and you will work side by side with Front End and Backend Developers, Product Owners, UX/Design, Customers Success etc.

You will be given a high level of ownership of your tasks and will be able to influence and have an impact on the entire data lifecycle, that means setting the goals, set the timelines, develop the system, test it, ship it and maintain it. You will also perform analytics on the data to provide useful insights.

We deploy earlier and more often than most, sees mistakes and failures as education and jump on every opportunity to use the best, most scalable and often the latest technologies to make sure we continue to stay in the forefront of AdTech.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

We think you have experience of:

  • The Microsoft Azure big data / analytics stack (EventHubs, Streaming Analytics, Data Lake etc.)

  • The Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Map Reduce, HDFS, YARN etc.)

  • Druid or similar high-performance OLAP data store

  • Data analytics on bigger data sets

  • Software engineering in Scala/JVM, C#/.Net
