We are looking for Community Ambassadors to help raise awareness of Host My Pet service among pet owners and pet lovers across FInalnd. Our Community Ambassadors will be an important network of volunteers who help to make a difference to pet sitting market of the country by raising awareness of our community.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES. 

We expect the candidate to be self-direct, creative and proactive, who will pursue the following tasks:  

• Identifying and inspiring groups in your area to join Host My Pet as a Pet Sitter or a Pet Owner. This will require contacting existing connections and/or self-confidence to approach new people, attendance of pet related fairs and competitions etc. Generating awareness through word-of-mouth marketing.
• Raising awareness of Host My Pet in community groups, such as universities, agility clubs, kennel clubs and others and encourage their involvement to Host My Pet community.
  
• Giving short talks when necessary about  Host My Pet and promoting the platform and our community. Promoting the Host My Pet via personal social media accounts.  
• Encouraging local businesses to partner with Host My Pet.
  
• Assisting in content creation. Providing feedback and insight on the product. 
• Help to build relations with customers.
  

WHO CAN BE A COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR?

Anyone can apply to become a Community Ambassador for Host My Pet whether you are a student, a parent, retired or have a full-time job. However, some qualities that would help you in this role are:

• A good knowledge of your local area, particularly local community groups and businesses. Being a current pet owner is required.
• Confident communication skills with individuals and groups. 
• A personal connection to Host My Pet with a willingness to share your story.
• Lots of energy and ability to use your own initiative.
• An excitement of Host My Pet service and desire to make a difference in your community.

• Build a community together with us.  As a pet owner yourself, you live pet hosting problem and understand that sometimes these statements just don't work together "I want my pet to be happy and enjoy his life" and "I dream to travel to Thailand" because it is so problematic to find a trustworthy sitter for your pet friend! Let's help local pets and their pet owners to enjoy their lives. 
• Help shelter animals. We want to encourage more people to have pets. Most of the pet lovers would like to have a four-legged buddy near, but due to their lifestyle often they can’t have ones. With Host My Pet owning pets becomes easier! You don't need to worry anymore "Who will look after my pet when I am going for a holiday?" We are willing to bring together “single” pet lovers and shelter animals - so there are no lonely paws in shelters anymore.
• Fight against Finnish depression with us! Depression is a serious public health problem in Finland. About one-quarter of Finnish people suffers from psychological symptoms with adverse effects at some time in their lives. It is estimated that 7% of all Finnish adults suffer from depressive, anxiety and alcohol-related disorders. By encouraging to own pets or/and sit pets our team expects to affect people with such disorders, as it is proven that pets relieve depression.
• Help animal welfare associations. We encourage our users to donate for Animal welfare associations. Currently, we are partners with SEY - the biggest and most influential animal welfare group and animal protection expert in Finland. SEY acts for all animals and is active country-wide. 
• Work with your pet. Your four-legged buddy or beauty can also be hired as an ambassador and become a social media super star :)
