Airthings mission is to ensure that people around the world take control of their air quality through simple, affordable and accurate technology solutions and making radon and air quality detectors as common as smoke detectors. We are growing fast and are looking for a developer who can be part of a small, but growing, team. We try to be as agile as possible and are continuously improving the way we work. 

We’re just getting started on our cloud services and are looking for someone to help us move forward as demand for more backend services are on their way. We provide functionality for both mobile apps and web clients. So far most of our code is hosted as functions on AWS Lambda written in Groovy/Java, and we’re experimenting with Go. You will be reporting to the tech lead for cloud & web, work closely with our CTO, Marketing, and VP R&D.

• Mature and maintain our backend services
• Develop simple, elegant, tested, and maintainable solutions

Required Qualifications

• Excellent programming skills in Java or similar language
• Able to keep stuff running in production. You configure the infrastructure, build it,
• test it, deploy it, and run it
• Good at working in teams and communicating with the rest of us
• The web and its protocols are your friends
• Other desirable qualifications
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services
• Frontend development experience
