Cloud Insurance, our lean and mean Software-as-a-Service for insurance companies, agents and brokers, is already in use in 18 countries across five continents. Now as we ramp up for scale, the two co-founders are looking for the important third addition to the executive team: VP of Sales and Business Development.


This role will plan and lead our sales efforts. Since we are a small dynamic team that sells to enterprise clients, an integrated and equally important part of the job is working in business development together with the rest of the core team. You need to pay attention to what our business is, where we want to go, and how to sell and scale our product at the same time. An analytical mindset, trustworthiness and ability to execute is what we are looking for.

You'll:

  • Work with the rest of the core team on business development decisions such as hiring, positioning, segmenting, go-to-market strategy and analyzing market trends.
  • Establish a plan and execute on our first sales efforts.
  • Build a sales pipeline, define the sales process, manage the sales cycle.
  • Nurture our position as opinion leaders in the field of insurance technology and the future of insurance.
  • Some marketing work if you enjoy it - keep an eye on our website and campaigns, and our presence in social media and traditional media channels.
  • First: Work with our existing happy clients and partners to get great leads and convert them to our next clients. Will involve some, but not too much, travelling to London and the US.
  • Later on: Build and scale our marketing and sales capabilities by hiring great people.

Must-haves:

  • Academic background in business, marketing and/or sales (MSc preferred) or extensive experience. 
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast paced environment.
  • You can articulate technically complex products in clear, concise ways.
  • Organizational skills to manage competing projects with tight deadlines.
  • Stellar public speaking skills and ability to develop customer-facing presentation.
  • You are a team player with ability to lead through influence.

Extra Credit:

  • Interest or experience from the insurance industry (Not a must! We have a fresh and different approach to the insurance industry.) 
  • Experience managing a B2B sales or marketing team
  • Experience in developing sales pipelines and using CRM systems and other tools to facilitate the sales process.
  • Experience in data driven online performance marketing.
