You will lead the development of the Android app and eventually build a team around the Android version of our app. You will work closely together with designers to create the UI, as well as our backend engineers on the API. You will lead the development of the Android app and eventually build a team around the Android version of our app. You will work closely together with designers to create the UI, as well as our backend engineers on the API. Together we will create something great and have fun doing it. You’ll have direct access to our users and continuous feedback on what works and what doesn’t. Universal Avenue loves Open Source and would love it if we could give something back to the Android community as well.

 

Skills & Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of Java.
  • Intimately familiar with the Android SDK and tools.
  • Love Android and mobile.
  • Write maintainable, functional code.
  • Can take responsibility for designing architecture.
  • An eye for API design, as well as good UX.

 

About the company

Universal Avenue is a company with great ambitions, and an even greater team. A Swedish startup founded in 2014, in a basement. Today, two years later, we have offices in Barcelona, Athens and London, with our headquarters in Stockholm. Just about 40 people in the company and growing rapidly.
