Universal Avenue is currently seeking a Growth Manager, with unique skills in business rollout, expansion and growth to successfully launch and scale the company’s business across Europe and beyond.

This is an opportunity to work in an exciting startup with a global target group and international team, offering a new service connecting the on- and offline worlds. The Growth Manager will be part of launching and building the European operations for one of the fastest growing startups in Europe, working closely with the Head of Growth/COO, the global management team and teams from other business areas.

The position should preferably be based in Stockholm but we are flexible and can consider candidates at other key locations in Europe. You will travel frequently in- and outside of Europe.

Job description

As Growth Manager you will be responsible for building Universal Avenues presence across Europe together with the Head of Growth/COO and Heads of Sales. You will help building the rollout playbook and set a model for market launches as well play a key operational role in the launches. You will also support in a wide range of areas such as sales, recruiting, advertising, PR, finance, legal, brand relations and on boarding. As Growth Manager you will report to our Head of Growth/COO.

As part of the role you will:

  • Lead the market rollout for Universal Avenue to key locations across Europe and beyond
  • Coordinate and project manage internal and external stakeholders involved in market launches
  • Recruit and train new personnel and manage the execution of key productivity metrics
  • Analyze and drive market entry strategy together with Head of Growth/COO
  • Together with Communications team, plan and execute PR and communications activities for launches
  • Plan and run activities such as setting up office, local administration, etc
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns with global marketing team
  • Run growth- and profitability analysis and adaption of the strategy
  • Responsible for the execution of local market strategy
  • Build local PR strategies with Head of Brand Communications & PR and regional PR Managers

 

Required skills

  • Strong interest and experience in building a fast growing business, preferably within tech
  • Strong understanding, experience, and vast network in the European online and/or direct sales industry
  • 5-7 years experience in an early and growth stage internet company and/or top-tier management consultancy or similar in Europe
  • MBA preferred, but not necessary
  • Generalist skill-set that is equally comfortable analyzing data, coordinating an event, speaking to clients, negotiating a deal and building a team
  • Organized, process-driven, strategic thinker with an understanding of planning and budgeting
  • Result oriented whilst having the ability to think strategically and see the “big picture”
  • Proven results demonstrating thought leadership and business judgment
  • Ability to present rigorous analysis and insights with simplicity, clarity, and confidence
  • Rapid and effective decision making skills
  • Ability to learn new concepts, technologies and businesses quickly and to produce quality work in short time-frames
  • Expert in Powerpoint, Excel, data analysis and modeling
  • Experience working with an international team
  • Genuine, confident, flexible and fun attitude
  • Thrive in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Extensive knowledge of online and offline commerce models and Internet/consumer/ technology
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent English language skills
