Labster is a company dedicated to developing fully interactive lab simulations based on mathematical algorithms that support open-ended investigations and combining these with gamification elements such as an immersive 3D universe, story-telling and a scoring system which stimulates students natural curiosity and highlights the connection between science and the real-world. A recent study published in Nature Biotechnology showed a 76% increase in learning outcomes when using Labster compared to normal teaching (Bonde et al. 2014).

VP of Sales & Revenues

As VP you help build a great company with a strong Labster culture, a perfect balance between entrepreneurial spirit and strong sustainable processes. You will always focus on customer success and on engaging the scientists of tomorrow.
You will grow the sales organization and build the organization, focusing on delivery but at the same time not eliminate autonomy, creativity and entrepreneurship.

  • You have the ability to attract, hire, develop and retain A players in all positions of the sales organisation
  • Knowledge in building sales structures and processes that will match Labster’s culture and level of ambition
  • Experience in working and communicating on a strategic, tactic and operational level
  • You can motivate and engage the teams and inspire them by Labster’s vision and values
  • You have proven results in growing a business with complex products
  • You are driven more by purpose than by profit
  • You must have a good understanding of people
  • Documented experience of developing a high growth sales organisation
  • High level of structure and data driven

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Recruiting and on-boarding new A-players of new sales and service team members who can deliver on the growth ambition. You will be in charge of recruiting the following:

  • Sales managers
  • Science collaboration specialists
  • Lead specialists
  • Customer success specialists

Handle the strategic sales management

  • Ensure execution of the sales strategy through direct sales on the right markets, the right customers, the right products at the right prices and with the right sales processes
  • Ensure the build up of tomorrows Labster 
  • You will collaborate with the rest of the Labster organization to ensure that the shared vision is delivered
  • Build the sales management as foundation of the future growth

Handle the tactical sales management

  • Develop the overall and ambitious sales budget, team targets and individual targets, plan, track and adjust the sales effort.
  • Ensure the development, coaching and training of the sales organization by ensuring individual and team development in order to drive performances
  • You will develop a process that ensures high quality in the sales processes, high customer satisfaction, flexibility for the sales team and predictability in the revenue streams
  • Develop and deliver reports to the sales force and the CEO 
  • Setup analytics to aid sales team in becoming more productive
  • Continuous improvement of segmentation, sales processes, sales tools, recruiting, on-boarding, development and retention
