Labster is a company dedicated to developing fully interactive lab simulations based on mathematical algorithms that support open-ended investigations and combining these with gamification elements such as an immersive 3D universe, story-telling and a scoring system which stimulates students natural curiosity and highlights the connection between science and the real-world. A recent study published in Nature Biotechnology showed a 76% increase in learning outcomes when using Labster compared to normal teaching (Bonde et al. 2014).

Lead Specialist
As Lead Specialist you are purpose-driven and are focused on Labster’s vision and culture. You will be responsible for delivering quality appointments to the team of Scientific Collaboration Specialists and your KPIs range from final hit rate, lead to sales time, total revenue and customer satisfaction.

The following competencies and behavioural skills are required:

  • Ability to research universities and map their relevant strategic goals, financial situation and stakeholders / decision network
  • Ability to engage stakeholders (e-mail, phone and face to face) at C-level and book quality appointments
  • Ability to sell the idea of Labster and the value of a meeting rather than selling the products
  • Ability to network at conferences and other relevant scenarios and spread the ideas and vision behind Labster
  • Ability to work in a team and to participate actively in a learning and development culture
  • Fast learning and adaptation skills
  • Fluent in English both written and oral

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Analyse A and B segmented customers to identify strategic goals, who to initiate dialogue with, important stakeholders in decision and implementation process, financial situation, best timing for decisions and key selling points
  • Initiate dialogue with key stakeholders and book an appointment with the right person and at the right time with the right agenda
  • Qualify leads from other channels e.g. web, recommendations, conferences etc.
  • Identify key conferences to attend, who we need to engage at those conferences and how we create quality leads from those conferences
  • Identify other channels where we can create quality leads e.g. LinkedIn, references and recommendations
  • Manage appointments (if necessary) and rearrange cancelled appointments
  • Create customer brief and brief the Scientific Collaboration Specialist who is going to do the customer appointment
