ORIGINS The story begins with two Portuguese siblings from Porto separated by different life paths. One, fully established in Copenhagen, Denmark and working as an Architect with a strong creativity mindset, focused in family, devoted mom of two lovely ones and an healthy lifestyle supporter. The other one, currently in Lisbon, Portugal working as an Executive Director and Brand Management Consultant for several design and furniture firms. Both with very different but complementary skills, a strong link between two highly contrasting cultures, a great desire of working together and something that glues everything together, Længsel. This special feeling led these two young siblings to create something unique in which they could spend some time together, exploring their particular skills, infusing a truly Danish experience and Scandinavian design influence with a very strong Portuguese background and heritage. And so, Længsel Design is born. The architectural lines, the contemporary elegance and the Scandinavian style are very present in pieces that were inspired by Portuguese historical marks, landscapes and cultural aspects. The nature of the brand privileges the local handmade and craftworks, natural materials and a sustainable relationship across the whole value chain. NEW NORDIC DESIGN In the Nordic product design, there is a necessity of practicality, with a focus on usefulness and durability, taking into account the surrounding natural world and its resources. Our point on new Nordic design is to incorporate the functionality, craftsmanship, minimalism and creative courage in every one of our creations. SUSTAINABLE CRAFTSMANSHIP At Længsel we are dedicated to reduce our environmental impact. We have a continuous research about the best sustainable options for our products. We choose woods that can be recycled or replaceable in a fast-growing rate. We look for fabrics that are rapidly renewable, biodegradable, recyclable or can be produced organically. PRODUCTION The production is all done in Portugal reinforcing a unique perspective on Laengsel´s creations. We want to innovate and defy crystalized ideas by having a close relationship with our local portuguese craftsman. We are proud to experience by first hand that they give all their love and knowledge to our minimalist and long lasting designs.

Wild Distillery is raising the bar for Nordic Spirits production. The production is located on Bornholm and our gin/vodka is handmade under the observant eye of our Master Distiller. Our goal is to become the next big spirits brand out of Scandinavia and define a new chapter of spirits production. Our production is located on Bornholm but we have an office in CPH as well.

Moonboon Baby Studio produces quality baby equipment, made from organic and sustainable materials. All our products are designed in Denmark with a keen focus on design and usability in mind. Maneno is a reading app that makes it fun to read and learn to read. Maneno was founded in 2015 and here 5 years later we have established ourselves as the key player for children’s book streaming services in Denmark. The company was founded in response to the increasing rate of reluctant readers in Denmark and the decline in literacy skills worldwide. The two founders themselves being the fathers of children and seeing at first-hand how children are more consumed with YouTube and video games, they decided to create a reading app that puts recognition and motivation as key components in building reading skills to children. Our team has grown to 7 employees handling anything from app development to content acquisition and user retention.

Keybird Instruments is developing a lightweight acoustic piano to help piano enthusiasts play with their preferred sound (acoustic) with a practicality and price comparable to that of digital pianos. Nine out of ten piano enthusiasts prefer acoustic sound, yet most play digital because of price, size and weight. We want to combine the best of both worlds. We can offer an acoustic piano that weighs only 40 + 15 kg, only occupying half a square meter of valuable living space. It can be transported in normal cars. The first model has a slightly reduced amount of keys (just like many digital keyboards) having all the keys for pop and jazz but also most of classical music in the first five years of music schools. We are in the Beta phase and will open up for sales in Autumn 2020. We use one string per key which allows us to build a piano significantly lighter, even with long strings to maintain optimal sound quality. We thus have a strong focus on sound quality, rather than loudness. We can reach the low price due to automated production here in Europe and a design strategy that allows this. We started this because we needed it for ourselves and saw the need for others. We asked all the piano enthusiasts we could reach and get the interest in our product confirmed. The huge market of acoustic and digital piano (we combine the benefits) is what keeps us in pace to release a great product.

We want to change that while giving vendors a channel to market themselves to high-intend couples. We are a strong team of passionate marketing specialists, entrepreneurs, website developers, and wedding experts, who work hard on creating a wedding universe that will make wedding planning fun and joyful for couples, and that can match up engaged couples with the best vendors for their wedding. We have different motivations for joining the company, but we all agree that wedding planning should be fun, and that vendors should have a better chance of selling their wedding services.
