Talk Town er en folkelig debatfestival; en samtaleby om køn, ligestilling og feminisme; et forum for dialog på tværs af faglig og personlig erfaring; et sted for nysgerrighed, netværksdannelse og dialog. Festivalen er aktørbaseret i stil med folkemødet på Bornholm. Det vil sige, at den fungerer som en tværfaglig, social og kulturel ramme for organisationer, erhvervsliv, foreninger, græsrødder, aktivister, uddannelsesinstitutioner, engagerede borgere og internationale meningsdannere m.fl., hvori de kan bidrage med netop deres mærkesager. Talk Towns formål er at skabe en platform for netværk og dialog, hvor der er plads til uenighed og forskellige perspektiver, der kan mødes på kryds og tværs, men som alle peger ind i samme hovedvision; ligestilling. BAGGRUND Festivalen udspringer af Danmarks værtsskab for konferencen Women Deliver i 2016. Kulturproduktionskollektivet Indgreb ønskede at give den almene københavner adgang til de mange Women Deliver-delegerede, som repræsenterede ligestillingssagen globalt, og forankre de globale ligestillingsproblematikker, der blev behandlet på konferencen, i en dansk kontekst. Derfor kontaktede Indgreb Kvinderådet og gennem et stærkt samarbejde løb den første Talk Town af stablen i Kødbyen i 2016. Festivalen var egentlig kun tænkt til at finde sted en enkelt gang, men fremmødet og opbakningen var så stor, at festivalen vendte tilbage på Hovedbiblioteket i 2017, og igen i 2018 i Huset-KBH. I 2019 blev festivalen afholdt i Den Brune Kødby, hvor Talk Town samarbejdede med 75+ internationale og danske aktører, som præsenterede 100+ arrangementer for 3000 gæster. De sidste fire år har vist, at Talk Town er kommet for at blive. Således blev 2019 også året hvor Talk Town fik vokseværk, og foreningen Talk Town stolt kunne præsentere både 3-dagsfestival i København i maj og 1-dagsfestival i Århus i september. Derudover kuraterede Talk Town i 2019 talkprogrammet til projektet Kvinder I Centrum, som arrangeredes af spillestedet Forbrændingen i Albertslund. Som afslutning på dette projekt og samarbejde, præsenterede Talk Town en 1-dagsfestival på Forbrændingen d. 30. november

We thought the administration of these fines was to difficult and would like to do something about it. We have developed an app that can be used for the administration of fines. The target groups are sports teams, friend groups, food clubs, school classes etc.

PROBLEM: There are an estimated 45 million people across Europe and 16 million across the USA who struggle to chew and swallow with normal function (dysphagia). Eating and drinking to obtain adequate energy, nutrition and hydration is a daily challenge. Food items are broken down (blending and diluting) and then thickened to alter the consistency for safe ingestion to avoid/minimise choking, drooling, coughing, asphyxiation pneumonia and even mortality. Current methods results in vegetables and proteins (meat/fish) comprising a 'meal' with low taste and visual appeal (more like baby food) and diluted nutritional values with issues around medicine bioavailability, consistency instability and dehydration. Dysphagia is said to affect up to 27% elderly people living in the community, up to 70% of those living in care homes and around 30% across the hospital setting - yet there are limited opportunities to obtain/prepare suitable, appealing food/drink options and so for many, simply not eating is the next best alternative. SoftBite is developing a technology that should improve the sensory, digestibility,nutritional and stability quality of soft textured food for people with dysphagia and interrelated conditions such as sarcopenia, frailty and malnutrition in recognition that food and nutrition are key pillars to health, wellness and recovery. Wildfires are a deadly symptom of global warming. They are cause of a great environmental impact, destroying wildlife and flora. In the bushfires of Australia in the winter of 2019/2020, 12 million ha. were burned away and 100 Billion AUS were spend in damages and firefighter efforts. Due to the rapid evolution and speed of wildfires, firefighters are looking for technologies to provide data on how best to combat the wildfires. Current wildfire data gethering, using satellites, planes, helicopters, and manually controlled drones, is time consuming, rescource heavy, and provides inaccurate data. Moreover, reconnaissance operations from helicopters and planes are very dangerous, and stands for 24% of deaths in wildfire operations. We have developed an autonomous wildfire recognition and analytics drone, AWRA. This will provide the user with an out-of-box method for fast and accurate data gathering and monitoring of the wildfire. The user will utilize a tablet to mark an area for the drone to search in, and will receive real-time feedback regarding the location, size, intensity, and direction of the wildfire. Giving the firefighters back the initiative, and allow them for faster smarter descision making, ultimately extinquishing the wildfires faster. But our product can also solve many other real-world problems, such as Oil Spill Reconnaissance, Search and Rescue, First Responder, and Infrastructure Inspection.
