Iconfinder is an icon search engine and marketplace where customers can find a vast array of content for apps, websites, presentations, and other designs. We have more than a million monthly users and a library of more than 3.5 million icons. Together with a passionate community of icon designers, we are building the world's most popular icon site. We are a small international team based in the lovely city of Copenhagen, with some of us working remotely. Our mission is to help designers make a living doing what they love. At the same time, we hope to put more good design out into the world. The workspaceOur office is overlooking the Christiansborg palace as part of the Matrikel1 coworking community. Matrikel1 is a modernly-designed space for the tech and entrepreneurial scene of Copenhagen. It is easy to get to know other interesting people while you’re grabbing a coffee or during lunch. Lunch is prepared daily for all members of the community by a team of chefs, and we eat together with the other companies. Matrikel1 hosts a range of events where all members are welcome. On Fridays, we get together for drinks on the terrace, if the weather allows. The team and working styleBeing a small, young team helps us stay flexible and agile, while also keeping a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at work. We often go out together for nice food and drinks.  We have daily stand-ups every morning, where we share what each one of us is working on. Everyone joins the discussions about the product and everyone has a voice. We work in short, 3-week sprints, where we focus on well-defined projects. In between sprints, we have a buffer week dedicated to small improvements, to fixing issues, and to learning something new. We are continually re-evaluating the tools we use, to make sure that they are the right ones for us.

Keybird Instruments is developing a lightweight acoustic piano to help piano enthusiasts play with their preferred sound (acoustic) with a practicality and price comparable to that of digital pianos. Nine out of ten piano enthusiasts prefer acoustic sound, yet most play digital because of price, size and weight. We want to combine the best of both worlds. We can offer an acoustic piano that weighs only 40 + 15 kg, only occupying half a square meter of valuable living space. It can be transported in normal cars. The first model has a slightly reduced amount of keys (just like many digital keyboards) having all the keys for pop and jazz but also most of classical music in the first five years of music schools. We are in the Beta phase and will open up for sales in Autumn 2020. We use one string per key which allows us to build a piano significantly lighter, even with long strings to maintain optimal sound quality. We thus have a strong focus on sound quality, rather than loudness. We can reach the low price due to automated production here in Europe and a design strategy that allows this. We started this because we needed it for ourselves and saw the need for others. We asked all the piano enthusiasts we could reach and get the interest in our product confirmed. The huge market of acoustic and digital piano (we combine the benefits) is what keeps us in pace to release a great product.

Avilius har som sin mission at gøre ungdomslivet sundere og sjovere, fordi det er muligt at tage tingene i opløbet og få støtte undervejs. Vi er desuden et større content-hus, der holder arrangementer, laver podcasts, skriver artikler m.m. for at uddanne og oplyse om mental sundhed.

Our product focuses on helping our costumers understand the growth rate and physiological conditions present in their small scale fermentors, this helps our costumers increase the speed of their upscaling. Our sensor system is fully automated. Our first prototype is expected to be finalized in the summer of 2019.
