Jun Grooming

Jun Grooming is a Copenhagen based startup manufacturing handmade, premium men's cosmetics products. The carefully curated beard oils and balms are made only from EU sourced certified organic ingredients, and contain no unnatural chemicals and preservatives. The founder, Kendzsi Tanaka used his personal experience and research in natural skincare to develop these products, after living all his life with a condition of sensitive, dry and irritable skin. After successfully building the initial inventory, developing and launching the webshop and relevant social media profiles, the company has run into a problem of reaching and growing its first customer base. The sales launch in January showed good results with online sales for private costumers, but the first excitement slowly died down. Currently, Jun Grooming is looking for partnerships, advice, and funding for developing and implementing successful marketing strategies, aiming for the fundamental product flow. The Jun Grooming Instagram page currently has 1k+ followers after only a single year of running, which is very competent in its sector. Also, the business-to-business channel is showing good development, with products available in two local barbershops, only 4 months after the initial sales launch in January 2020. Through these mediums, Jun Grooming is experiencing steady growth, but unfortunately not quite enough to let the business run itself. Therefore, Jun Grooming wishes to get in touch with investors and mentors to guide its way through this difficult step.

On our tours, all travelers get a deeper understanding of the culture and history of the destination. More importantly, they meet and interact with local people. Locals who will help every participant to get unique authentic experiences and learn about the real world. We are looking for dedicated and independent interns, who are interested in opening the real world with us.

Trinus Rejser

Trinus Rejser is a travel agency offering tailormade backpacker-tours to young adventurers taking a gap year. By being only online-based we are able to offer the tours at a lower price than our competitors, while at the same time include more awesome activities. We offer individual tours and group tours, and specialize in combining the two to always be able to offer the exact type of tour our travellers dream of. Our groups consist of travellers from different nationalities, allowing for a more rewarding experience as our travellers hence get to learn about many different cultures and backgrounds while having the time of their lives backpacking in a foreign country. We have travelled to all the destinations we currently have, and are therefor able to advise our travellers in-depth with a personal touch. We have a passion for the worlds different cultures and have a condition of constantly ´Itchy feet´. Having been in operation for just over a year, we have proved the business model and experienced promising traction. The objective is now to scale the business and our ambitions are ridiculously high - but hey why shouldn’t they be? Our most limited ressource now is time. We simply need more hands as the business grows - YOUR HANDS! Sounds scary? Good - now lets grow this business together and have a blast while doing so!

MakeImpact

The Pitch We help generate positive societal impact by changing people’s financial behavior. The What According to the UNCTAD (UN Conference on Trade and Development) World Investment Report from 2014, the total annual investments in SDG-relevant sectors in developing countries will need to be between $3.3 trillion and $4.5 trillion in order to meet the SDGs by 2030. Such estimates mean there is an annual financing gap of $2.5 trillion between current funding and what is required. The public sector is already doing a lot but to close this large gap, will require a major investment of resources from many actors, particularly from the private sector. The capital is already there. What’s needed is for that capital to find a home in well-designed, viable projects. In order to move this capital, the private sector will need to take financial action. People have the desire to take action but need help to do so. This is where MakeImpact will play an important role – helping people who want to make a difference through impact investing. The How We believe that there are 3 ways to help change people’s financial behavior in order to create a substantial positive societal impact Through Education: The more you know about making a positive impact, the better suited you are to actually do it. Through Investing: In order to help close the SDG financing gap with the use of private capital, investing your money in sustainable companies that work for a better future is the way forward. Through Tracking of Investments: Tracking your investments and becoming aware of which investments are sustainable or not will make you want to learn more about other companies that have a sustainable agenda and thereby re-educating yourself and potentially making more impact investments. In order to achieve the greatest behavioral change, these 3 will all need to be tied together – allowing people, in the best way possible, to change their financial behavior towards a better societal impact The Why We saw a need to help the non-investors getting started on their impact investing journey using the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework. The team currently consists of 17 passionate, innovative and purpose-driven people that help building a solution where the non-investor can use their money to make an impact in the world.
