hiveonline

hiveonline is a fintech startup headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, with subsidiaries in Stockholm, Sweden and Kigali, Rwanda, where our development team is located. We give communities of unbanked businesses, primarily women led, access to formal finance through a digital reputation. We are supporting village savings groups with blockchain technology with our MVP accounting app, and building on this to help cooperatives, agricultural associations and their members create more sustainable farming communities. We are expanding from Niger into Mozambique and other African countries.

Copenheaven

Copenheaven is developing the next gen. process automation tool, our customer is the every company with more than 100 employee, that need to develop and automate at the speed of the employee. CopenHeaven objective is to offer our customers a Saas platform that brings control over the business automation to the line of business. Making the business automate at there own speed. Our platform will give our customer the ability to optimize and develop it's way of working at their own pace. At the moment we are in process of building our first version of the platform. With the objective of having it in the marked midyear '21 During the last 5-10 years, we have seen an increasing need for speed in business development. At every mid or large size company, we have talked to the primary issue is, the resources (outside the business) needed for implementing the automation, leading to slow and long turnaround of the automation, remove the focus from the business change. The ambition is to build a platform and a company that will define the best practice "implementation of business change"

Danish-African Business Association

The Danish Africa Business Association (DABA) was created with an ambition to unite the Danish and Nordic ecosystem and increase the competitiveness of companies with an agenda for Africa. DABA seeks to promote business opportunities on the African continent and serve as a bridge between Danish and African business communities. Increase more efficient and less risky trade between Denmark and Africa, through facilitation, information, advisory and advocacy work.

SportsTrade

We want to build the leading and most advanced sports betting exchange for trading Football players in Denmark. This will be a new concept on the Danish market introducing a new way for football fans to bet on the sport they love - to increase the excitement around the games and transfers - and earn money on their passion.

Lalatoys

Lalatoys is a new startup, building a sharing economy retail service for children’s toys. The concept is simple: you sign up and pick the toys you want to play with. Whenever the toy becomes needless for your child, send it back and get something else. Billions of dollars are put into the children's toy market yearly, and of these, millions of unwanted toys are send to landfills every year. What is even worse is that a high amount of children's toys are produced from non-biodegradable plastic. By swapping instead of shopping, we can let our children play in a more eco-friendly way. We are currently in the progress of building the platform. The platform and its features are essential for us to be a scalable business and require our deepest attention at the moment. The idea started, when I, Dinesan, became father for the first time last year. We bought a lot of toys for our daughter (and still do), but in the end it showed that most of the toys our daughter didn't play with after a very short period - it was quite frustrating that we spend money of something, we either would loose money on reselling and would pile up together with the rest- Currently we are three people in the team: Dinesan Rasiah (Founder - CEO) Christian Nielsen Henriksen (Co-founder CTO) Thanusaan Rasiah (Developer)

KROM Kendama

KROM Kendama was born to fulfill the vision of producing the highest quality of kendamas in the world while keeping it funky and relatable, striving to make kendama the biggest secondary sport in the world. Since the beginning of the company, we’ve worked on spreading kendama on a global scale. The rise and growth of the kendama community has allowed KROM to spread, and the team to travel the entire world. In 2010 KROM was founded by 2014 freestyle kendama world champion Thorkild May in hopes of igniting the kendama love wherever possible. Since then we’ve worked hard to develop the kendama culture worldwide from the KROM HQ & Shop in Copenhagen. From the KROM Shop, we host a weekly kendama club and work to support similar initiatives like kendama clubs in Colorado and Latvia. We also sponsor a large number of events every year with prizes and pro players and host events ourselves, like the 2019 European Kendama Championships. As kendama was developing across the world, KROM naturally grew with it and the ideas of creating our own kendamas and becoming more involved in the community couldn’t be kept down. In the latter half of 2012 KROM Kendama went from mainly being a crew of homies playing and distributing kendamas to starting the learning process of creating the best possible kendamas out there. Leading up DAMAFEST 2013, the North American kendama championships, KROM started to pick up steam with the recognition of the clean dama designs and crazy tricks. Thorkild May and teammate Mathias Rasmussen ended up winning the American Freestyle Championships, laying down what has become a staple of the KROM image: the signature Danish flow and the recognizably funky kendamas. Since then KROM has developed and grown even further, we’re constantly striving to represent the kendama community in the best way possible, and of course to provide the best possible products to all the supporters in across the globe. With every new kendama, we’re determined to improve both the playability and the design. For these purposes and more, we’ve gathered the most winning team in the world, composed of internationally acclaimed players with several World and European championship titles, as well as a lot of homies to help us reach our goals. We’re grateful to be able to take kendama to new heights through our work and we look forward to seeing where kendama takes us next. We’ll keep working to bring the joy of kendama to new people every single day. Kendama is unique in its ability to improve your cognitive functions and your hand-eye coordination while connecting people everywhere, even across language barriers, making us able to communicate all over the world. Squire

Squire is currently developing a marketplace that facilitates the connection between freelancers and customers. For the freelancers, we provide them with a platform where they can work effortlessly choosing their own rates and schedule. No more stressful job search! They can become a Squire freelancer and start earning with a mere few clicks. For the customers, Squire provides a consolidated marketplace with a variety of services to choose from. They no longer have to worry about service quality due to our rating algorithm and never again do they have to worry about traditionally unresponsive service providers as we ensure a reply or an equally qualified alternative. Some of the founders have worked as freelancers on competing job platforms, and know the needs and shortfalls different freelancers experience when working. We have taken this feedback and added features that counter the negative experiences and allow for a satisfactory experience when working on Squire. In the case of the customers on the platform, our platform provides an easy step by step process, allowing customers to find freelancers much faster than using traditional methods. We have experienced that many people around us have lost their jobs. We want to build a solution to this, providing people who have lost their income a means to earn a living. Efficient access to services is something we believe the danish economy lacks, by creating new demand and supply for service jobs, we hope to stimulate the economy by creating a platform that encourages spending and income generation during a time of suppressed economic growth.

Jamii.one

Jamii.one is developing a digital platform to enable unbanked people access to the financial system. In low-income communities, a popular and established method of saving up is to join a savings group where you save up as a community rather than individually. Our app is built to digitalise and support these groups. Group members can use our app to record their savings and lending history, which creates a unique credit score. This credit score enables our users to gain access to financial services that they have previously been excluded from. The groups also learn business skills and how to use technology, empowering them to improve their future. Our app is co-created with more than 600 people in savings groups, basing the solution on their needs and abilities. They define the structure; we provide the tech and build the bridge between up to 1 billion people and the financial system.

Gamucatex

ABOUT GAMUCATEX We are an indie student startup of 20 people that focuses on making games that are equally entertaining and useful to teach the player new things. Our games are edutainment. The headquarters are in Copenhagen but we are international with team members across the world. We collaborate with education institutions to improve the learning outcome. The team takes good care of each other, so do you want to join our family? We are open, flexible and transparent Our team learns, teaches and shares with each other Games should be both fun to play and make ABOUT OUR GAME Our upcoming game is in pre production. It let’s the player take charge of a civilization that will go through history. Letting you experience what happened in the past according to historical records. Decisions making and dilemmas open for an engaging gameplay. While diplomacy, trade and wars are bound to start conflicts. This innovative game sees characters in cards moving combat on a grid format. The inspiration comes from: Magic, Civilizations, Age of Empires and Heroes. The office is in Human & Legal Innovation Hub at UCPH, at South Campus (KUA) and it is part of a programs in Communication and IT to do startups. The University of Copenhagen aids us with consultants, an office space, workshops and much more, they don't own or control our project. Team members doing academical research here usually keep collected data to write papers. WHY ARE WE DOING THIS AND HOW? The academical inputs we get elevates the learning potential for our users, does come from students and professors. With gamification the end result is a tool for students, teachers and the general population. Our learning-lab is an open space for experimenting with new ideas to generate new study practices. The traditional digital games medium offers great potential for learning, commonly players get proficiency in certain areas after playing games. Language and communication skills are one example. Most games are very entertaining, and do teach players certain things, but the learning process is not structured. While many educational games focus on the teaching aspect but don't utilize the other affordances of the media as described. They are quite frankly boring. Our mission is to make great games combining both worlds. The problem we solve is that people want to learn but they find conventional learning methods insufficient and disengaging. Also teachers are stuck with old tools that cannot keep up with the modern student. But the publishing world and the market needs new products to sell, to keep up with demand.

And by the time you've placed your order, you have waited for over 10 minutes just to put in your order at the cashier. Well, that's one of the many reasons our Founder Kerim Arikan founded Employ. Employ is a startup company that have developed one of the simplest self ordering systems that puts it's focus on time efficiency and more sales for the business. The vision for the company is to make our self-ordering as easy to implement in business as a MPOS system is nowdays. We'll update you on that soon.
