Our focus is on replacing the plastic packaging used in food products by an environmental friendly biomaterial. Because of its multilayer construction, and often food-waste contamination, this post-consumer packaging is not readily recyclable and is generally landfilled. Consequently, an enormous pressure has been placed on food producing companies to stop using it altogether.
