Meet Aya - the mental well-being solution to help young adults deal better with life's curveballs and mental challenges.
The world is heading towards a mental health crisis, and it's sadly an increasing curve. To solve it, traditional tools like therapy, psychological treatments and drugs are just not gonna cut it. So while therapy can do wonders and medicine can work, these solutions are just too expensive, too inaccessible and full of side-effects relative to the size of the problem. And though we're all different and we receive distinct mental (dis)advantages, no mind is just born broken. With better and more diverse tools, the crisis can be averted and millions of people helped.
That's why Aya is on a mission to become your trusted and personal companion for mental well-being. Using an interdisciplinary combination of psychology, design and technology, we have set out to help users dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and the major life challenges. In the shape of a conversational app, Aya is accessible 24/7 on iOS and Android, utilizing evidence-based approaches psychology and therapy, helping Aya’s users achieve mental balance by constantly adjusting to their needs of both accessibility, tonality, useful tools and a judgement-free zone.
Our long term vision goes beyond what we consider “an app” and “a chatbot”. We imagine a world, where Aya becomes a personally tailored, method agnostic and guilt-free place for mental wellbeing, offering “just-right help” for each individual. It’s not our goal to keep you on your phone, talking to a piece of software though. Rather, our vision is to combine the myriad of knowledge we learn about the user, to always offer what’s needed and help the user doo what works for them: Whether that’s just a chat, mindfulness, gratitude journaling, a reflection exercise or simply a reminder to see your family.
