Abzu is a private entity owned by the founding team. Founded in January 2018, Abzu is an applied research startup with offices in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Barcelona, Spain. The startup derives its name from Ancient Summerian, meaning “the source of the waters of wisdom”. Abzu has raised a total of €2.9M and last closed a seed round in July 2019 for €1.75M.
