As the Director of Production Quality, alongside your team, you will drive bold quality improvements, achieve excellent results, and KPI's and systematically prevent non-conformances. As the leader of the team, you will have an opportunity to be an effective organizational leader and a member of the factory management team.

Key responsibilities

• Defining Quality strategy, approach and execution, at Global Quality level and in local factories.
• Leading and directing the Quality team at Northvolt Labs in Västerås.
• Establish the Quality excellence roadmap and drive the execution from first start-up of commissioning activities to a high level of reliability and robustness
• Be accountable for the product and process quality as well as mentor and provide quality leadership to own team and other factory staff
• Set bold Quality targets, e.g. process capability, variability and non-conformances
• Provide technical leadership and expertise within the field of Quality Management and quality improvement methodology such as Lean Six Sigma
• Monitoring of all the Quality activities, test results, defects and non conformities, root cause analysis/8D investigations and identifying areas of improvement as well as improving the QMS. Implement steps required to improve the processes.

Skills & Requirements

• Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering Degree
• Strong experience and skill in supporting IT solutions (quality, dashboards, reporting, ERP).
• Quality Management experience in high volume manufacturing, e.g. semiconductors, electronics manufacturers, automotive suppliers etc.
• First hand exposure to production and manufacturing in high-stress, fast pace environments.
• Strong leadership and ability to problem solve and shape the company's Quality processes, strategies and performance
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six-sigma (green or black belt), 8D, 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949.
• Be an advocate of the Quality Management System, Continuous Improvement and industry recognised Best Practices.
• Excellent knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Identification and Risked Based approaches.
• Experience in building a successful Quality organisation and achieving high quality performance.
