Hi there! We’re Driversnote, a SaaS company based in the heart of the Copenhagen startup scene. We take pride in helping more than 800.000 users in more than 50 countries keep a mileage logbook. No one likes to do mileage documentation, so we try to remove this tedious work and make our customers’ work-life simpler by saving them time and money.
We’re bootstrapped (no worrying about the next funding round!), profitable and growing, and you’ll be an essential part of the team at a very exciting stage in a key position.
Many of the operational and outward-facing tasks have so far been handled by our two co-founders. This work has grown substantially over the years and has created a need for a dedicated person to step in. You will therefore be taking over most of the operational tasks, allowing us to focus more on product development and growth.
You will be in charge of our day-to-day operations, finances and will be supervising our customer support and success team.
You will be collaborating closely with the CEO and our small management team to make sure our operational machinery is running smoothly, and our customers get the best possible experience.
Your responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day operations together with our customer support and success team.
Keeping the financial overview, optimizing cost and making sure our accounting is up-to-date (together with our external bookkeepers and accountant).
Business development & handling external relations with suppliers, partners and big customers.
As part of the management; plan and execute the overall strategy, set yearly goals and budgets.
Examples of projects you might be responsible for:
Spearhead expansion to new markets and making sure we’re compliant with the rules in the new markets.
Finding and implementing a way to minimize our currency exchange costs.
Hiring the next Customer Support expert.
Spearhead setting up Customer Success processes & exploring inbound sales.
Setting up a partnership with a big accounting company in Canada.
We imagine that you:
Have 5+ years of experience from a similar role.
Have an entrepreneurial mindset, and have experience scaling a small business.
Are highly analytical, structured and committed to a data-driven approach. You might have used years in Excel but are now working in Data Studio or similar, and probably have some experience of SQL.
Are experienced in growing teams and managing people directly, preferably in a startup.
Are experienced in negotiation and setting up deals with suppliers as well as customers.
Are familiar with the operations of a SaaS and are used to talking about MRR, CAC, CLV, activation, churn etc.
It would be nice if you:
Have worked in a product-led SaaS company before and believe in the product-led approach. Take an interest in behavioral economics, user experience design, the jobs-to-be-done theory or the like. Have industry knowledge from either the accounting or car industry. Is used to working with and setting OKRs. Have experience with inbound sales or working in the space between marketing and sales.
Vision & mission: We work to eliminate work-life hassles to let people focus on what matters. Today, that means removing the pain and trivial work of handling mileage, while providing peace of mind that nothing is forgotten and all rules are followed.
Product-led: We focus our work on the end-user and optimise for bottom-up adoption. People's use of our product is what leads our growth. We sell through our product and as self-service. We invest in customer success instead of outbound sales. Our marketing is focused on people with a need, leading them to the product.
Lean & data-driven: We try to get a deep understanding of the problems we’re solving. But we also acknowledge that we often can’t predict the outcome of our work. So we believe in an experiment-based approach to product development with short build-measure-learn cycles. For this reason, we also don’t believe in detailed plans for more than 3 months ahead.
Long-term & compounding: We invest in things that will have a continuous return and compound. We e.g. prefer a 1% improvement of activation rate over a €100k deal. We’re self-funded, so we don’t stress about the next funding round, and take the time to go into depth with our work.
A lot of responsibility and influence - you’ll be a key player in developing and shaping the future of Driversnote.
You’ll get to work with and learn from a team of highly experienced entrepreneurs and tech people. We’ll set aside resources for independent skill development to help you grow and develop your career.
Even though we mostly work remotely right now, normally we’re situated in Matrikel1, a community co-working space for entrepreneurs and tech startups at the very heart of Copenhagen. You get to network with other startups and scaleups and plenty of cool, like-minded people.
Finally, we offer a great lunch cooked by Matrikel1’s in-house chefs every day :)
