We’re looking for an experienced Accountant who is keen to develop their international experience as well as using their domestic knowledge to boost our finance team. Worksome offers an exciting opportunity to give the right candidate the platform to grow and challenge themselves in a dynamic environment.  Working closely with our Accounting Manager and CFO you will have a huge impact on taking our financial accounting to the next level.

What you will be doing: 

You will be a core part of our financial accounting in Denmark, UK, and the US, .  facilitating fast, accurate, and reliable accounting and reporting processes across the group. Key responsibilities will include: 

• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies collaborating with other departments

• Accounts Receivable 

• Accounts Payable

• Payroll

• Bank reconciliations

• Ongoing optimization and automation of bookkeeping and accounting processes

• VAT and tax returns

• Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and annual accounts

• Ad-hoc financial tasks

About You

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with one of the Big Four

• Relevant educational background. Preferably Cand.merc.aud., HD/R or similar

• Proficiency in English, written and spoken

• Structured and detail-oriented

• Self-driven and wanting to take ownership

• Out for an adventure

 Also, we’d love you to have been part of a journey similar to ours. Maybe you have spent time in start-up environments, growing from a small founding team to bigger geographically disparate teams. If you’ve worked on a similar product, i.e. a web-based platform or other web-based solutions, that wouldn’t hurt either If you have been engaged in your own project - successful or not - that is also a very valuable experience that we’d love to hear about.
