Entropy Fox is searching for a skilled and experienced project manager who can help us plan, manage and refine our development processes!

We work mainly with web development and our biggest client is the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) - an NGO striving to foster a community within economic academia who think critically and guide them towards “New Economic Thinking” (as opposed to mainstream/contemporary economic thinking). 

Entropy Fox is the sole tech provider of YSI, and our main role in this is to design, build, maintain and innovate a web platform to bring these young scholars and their mentors together. This is the project we see you leading.

The technology we use is mainly: Typescript, Angular, NodeJS, and MongoDB. As the project manager you are not expected to be a developer, but we do expect you to have some technical knowledge and understanding, allowing you to navigate the needs of the client and the developers. 

Your day might include: 

• Communication between the team and stakeholders of the client 

• Planning meetings with client and developers

• Sparring with developers and designers of the team

• Task-management and follow-up 

• Feature specification in collaboration with management 

• General project management (timelines and milestones planning, ensuring deadlines are hit, etc.)

The person we’re looking for likely has 3-5 years of experience with agile project management in software development. 

Your educational background is less important than your experience. 

Beyond that the person we’re looking for: 

• Is solution oriented and can keep their cool when the tempo is high. 

• Is fluent in English - both spoken and written.

• Is generally a strong communicator – you will be explaining tasks to developers and manage expectations with clients.

• Can assert their needs and limits respectfully and knows how and when to say no (even to a client). 

• Includes the team and draws on their experiences when you need to find solutions.

• Has a cooperative mindset and seeks to lift people up.

• Is flexible time-wise - our main client operates from New York, a 6 hour time zone difference. This means meetings with the client are usually in the afternoon or early evening in Danish time

• Enjoys working in an informal, progressive and creative environment

About Entropy Fox 

• We are a cooperative company where everybody is treated as equals – even though you lead the work as a project manager you must accept and respect that all members of the company create and hold value and have a say in their work and the company.

• It’s a workplace with an informal environment and a bit of creative chaos - nobody is expected to show up in suit and tie. Part of the office is a “build it yourself” project (which has not yet been fully completed), and it is very unlike a typical “cubicle office” environment.

• We are a core team of 6-7 people, who work 30-37 hours a week, plus 2-3 student developers who work around 10 hour a week.
