We’re looking for you… if you are a passionate firmware developer. And if you see yourself in a start-up at scale. A start-up working on the next big thing in the turfgrass industry: In-Ground Data as a Service. Is that you? Maybe! Let’s get into the details.
Spiio is growing. Fast. We’re ready to start a new, exciting chapter. That’s why we’re looking for new people to join our growth journey. You’re right here because you – hopefully – got the skills to play a central role in creating an innovative global IoT platform. And because you’re ready for a great chance of joining a company with connections to tech hubs in the US, Europe and China. You will initially refer to the CEO of Spiio, Martin Dal.
Spiio - a very short introduction
We help sports turf professionals save money and labor time by managing their golf courses and sports facilities. Our product is a wireless sensor that tracks soil moisture, temperature and data from the ground hour by hour. The data helps to keep the complete overview – anywhere, anytime. Our customers? High profile golf courses in the US, great American football teams, baseball fields, Champions League soccer clubs in Europe and multinational agriculture fertilizer companies.
Why do we need you?
Spiio’s proprietary and completely autonomous multi-sensors allow our customers to harvest important agronomic data from the ground continuously. And we need you to maintain, develop and test firmware and new electronic designs.
The role - what you will do
Maintain, develop and test firmware and new electronic designs
Project management and scoping
New technology research
Custom sensor investigation and analysis
Low power management and modeling
Continuous testing and back-end alignment
Occasional trips to the production facility in China
We imagine that you...
are a team player. With lots of personal drive to deliver a new IoT platform to our customers. Yet, you’re also good at riding solo in a “freedom with responsibilities”-environment. In the perfect world, you have experience in everything mentioned below. Yet, we know that the perfect world doesn’t exist. Anyway, it would be preferable if you know your way around:
New technology and Industrial IoT
C/C++ embedded systems
Mbed environment
Production line design and component sourcing
Wireless and cellular applications (LTE-M / NB-IoT is a plus)
Low power applications
Business requirements and how to translate them into technical requirements
Electronic circuit schematics, PCB design, and test
Some of the benefits
Great coffee and an even better lunch deal. But more importantly, you’ll take part in a growth journey, meaning you get the chance to grow and develop in close collaboration with our CEO and VP of development as well as getting connected to (and learning by) our entrepreneurial network. Your voice, opinions and ideas are important to us – maybe you have an idea on how to improve our product strategy? Last but not least, your job will require work with and occasionally travel to the tech hubs in Silicon Valley and Nanjing, China. Most of your working days will take place at our office located in a vibrant environment at the harbor in Aarhus.
Application process
We will interview as soon as we have qualified candidates. The expected start date is ASAP.
Do you have any questions about the position? Feel free to contact Martin Dal, CEO.
