Intern product designer for impact-driven scale-up in Copenhagen

Matter’s mission is to make capital work for people and the planet. We are a financial technology company based in the heart of Copenhagen and an international team comprised of talented people from England, Scotland, Russia, France, South Africa, Brazil and Denmark. We develop B2B software to analyze and report on the sustainability of investments, and serve institutional investors in and outside of Europe with the ambition to positively affect one of the most central industries in our economic system.

Our journey is backed by a range of Danish and international investors, and we are increasingly facing new opportunities that go beyond the borders of Denmark. We hope to go there with you on board as our student assistant.

As Matter grows, we are looking for a solid, thoughtful and rebellious product designer to join our Copenhagen product team. We build cross-functions, set the bar high, and we need your creativity to help us build the ultimate product and brand experience.

About the role

The position is a 3-6 month internship for a full-time product designer to support our Head of Product.

Your core mission will be the research, analysis, and design of existing and new features, across our product portfolio. You will work closely with a variety of profiles to elaborate insight- and data-driven solutions.

Together, we will rise the design stack of Matter, strengthening our way of working. We love radical transparency and will value your appetite for an off-screen way of working. The successful candidate should have sharp design skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to bring ground-breaking ideas into tangible solutions.

About your profile

On a professional level

• You're a thinker by heart and a doer by passion

• You have a background in digital design, through your studies or previous experiences in the field of digital product design and or UX. An online portfolio is required to apply

• You have previous experience, or have the desire to work for digital solutions, alongside the full product lifecycle and design processes

• You are solution-oriented, using your creativity and critical thinking to build innovative and tangible solutions

• You are aware of the latest design and method trends that will help us scale our solution better, faster, stronger

• You are not afraid of holding stacks and take initiatives in favor of the activities you will be in charge of designing

• You do not need to know anything about sustainable finance, but you are open to an entirely new, and complex universe

What your day will look like

Within the Product stack

• Using collaborative tools like Figma as much as a good old fashion post-it block

• Drive features' design and development for institutional executives and retail investor (of course, we are here to help)

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team and diverse field of expertise in an agile environment

• Participate in internal & external discussions around the topic of sustainable finance

• Contribute to the elaboration of ground-breaking solutions within the yet-to-be-defined industry

• Design a future worth living with solid methods, thorough processes, openness to experience, and intellectual humility
