Part-time graphic designer for impact-driven scale-up in Copenhagen

Want to gain hands-on experience in a scale-up that uses emerging technology to increase the sustainability of investments? Matter’s mission is to make capital work for people and the planet. We are a financial technology company based in the heart of Copenhagen and an international team comprised of talented people from England, Scotland, Russia, France, South Africa, Brazil and Denmark. We develop B2B software to analyze and report on the sustainability of investments, and serve institutional investors in and outside of Europe with the ambition to positively affect one of the most central industries in our economic system.

As Matter grows, we are looking for a creative, open-minded and down-to-earth graphic designer to join our Copenhagen design team. We design cross-functions, set the bar high, and we need your creativity to help us build the ultimate product and brand experience.

About the role

The position is for a part-time graphic designer to support our Head of Product.

Your core mission will be to strengthen and challenge our product and brand across a multi-channel experience. You will work closely with the brand, marketing, and product team to establish Matter as a solid challenger.

Together, we will raise awareness about the importance of sustainable investments and challenge the industry on a visual experience level. The successful candidate should have a broad skill-palette, a sharp sense of aesthetics, and an ability to combine critical reflection with high productivity.

About your profile

On a professional level

• You are a thorough creative mind, ready to challenge and be challenged

• Have proven work experience as an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, or similar role within a digital solution. An online portfolio is required to apply

• Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software, like Photoshop and Illustrator as well as collaborative platforms like Figma

• You have the desire to work for a FinTech company in the growth stage, alongside the product team with design processes

• You are solution-oriented, using your creativity and critical thinking to craft outstanding but rational experiences

• You are not afraid of holding stacks and take initiatives in favor of the activities you will be in charge of designing

• You do not need to know anything about sustainable finance, but you are open to an entirely new, and complex universe

What your day will look like

Within the design stack

• Using Adobe suite, and collaborative tools like Figma as much as a good old fashion pencil

• Contribute to the establishment of a thorough and consistent brand experience via the creation of multi-channel assets

• Help the brand owner with brand alignment and day-to-day activities - ensuring consistency on internal and external material (SoMe, Merch., Video, etc...)

• Ignite and maintain our brand identity and design systems, as well as leveling up our product portfolio

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team and diverse field of expertise in an agile environment

• Challenge and improve existing product solutions
