We are looking for a full time iOS developer to join our development team. You will become a part of our 6-man (soon to be 10) product team and work closely with our designer and customers to create great user experiences for our end users.
Being a startup, we’re not kidding when we say that you’ll have the freedom to work just the way you like it. Processes, architecture, tools and tasks are all up for discussion, and we look forward to listening to your suggestions and past experiences to make our products even better! That’s also why, you’ll get dedicated ‘Own Time’ each sprint to work on something of your choosing: Explore a new tool, experiment with a new library, or add that one detail you’ve been dreaming of to one of the existing features!
Our product team is remote and spread across multiple locations in Europe (currently Denmark 🇩🇰, Latvia 🇱🇻, Poland 🇵🇱 and Serbia 🇷🇸). In Denmark we have physical offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen where some of us work from. If you live nearby one of those we would like you to join us here.
In the day-to-day we have couple of video calls (like our daily standup) and are in touch on Slack throughout the day. Four times a year we all get together in our main office in Aarhus, Denmark. These visits serve as a nice way to catch up with the rest of the team, get some work done together hang out and have lots of fun after work.
You love challenging problems and learning new skills - and you would love to grow as a developer and person alongside Emplate. We imagine that you:
Have years of experience building native iOS apps
Are up to date on the latest system and language features
Flourish in a small organization with little hierarchy
Love to try out new tools, patterns and processes
Like automated testing and/or TDD, or would like it to become a part of your process
Like to be challenged by our product designer, and collaborate to achieve the best possible solution
Live in a country in the Schengen Area (to make traveling as easy as possible)
You will be working closely together with our other iOS developers on our Swift based iOS apps for our end users and the shops in the malls. You will be working along with our other mobile developers, product designer and the two technical co-founders. Though we change practices and processes as needed, we like following the agile principles, and develop in sprints of 2 weeks. At the end of the sprint the entire company gets together on a video call and show off their work and receive feedback and praise.
Our aim is to improve the customer experiences for consumers in shopping malls all around the world. With a handful of international customers and a recent round of funding from Hypezone A/S, we're ready to conquer Europe.
Our ambitious team of 13 are mostly located at our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, but some work remote.
