At ModelarData , we apply state-of-the-art research to improve data transfer and data analytics in IoT. We are developing an enterprise-ready timeseries database that can be integrated into existing IoT infrastructures and provide faster analytics with more detailed datasets.

We are part of a large EU-funded project for the next 3 years that will help us accelerate our product development and make it ready for the market. We plan to start pilot-projects with real customers in 2021. Therefore, we are looking for a passionate software developer with an appetite for technical problems and for building products that will be used in large production environments with large amounts of data.

You will be working in a dynamic environment and collaborate closely with the four founders of the company who have very technical backgrounds from Aalborg University and Aarhus University. Your main responsibilities will be to implement algorithms and help making the product ready for the market in close collaboration with the team and partners.

We expect you to have the following qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics or relevant experience

• Experience with databases, and a systematic approach to problem solving

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Experience with Java and possibly Scala

While it is not required, it would be great if you have some experience with or an interest in learning about:

• General experience with Amazon Web Services or a similar cloud environment (e.g., Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform)

• Experience with the different layers of a database (e.g. query processing, execution plan/engine, storage layer)
