Freelancebit is a freelance marketplace with low fees where freelancers can upload gigs to sell a service or offer it free-of-charge. It’s a place where clients can seek out freelancers for any type of task either by searching for a gig or by uploading a project.
The Freelancebit team is growing fast and we are currently looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Manager who will help us in planning and organizing the company's Social Media practices.
About the role:
As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be responsible for managing our social media account(s), including producing content, analyzing usage data, and facilitating customer service.
As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively. We have a general conceptualization of what we want to do on our social media channels, but as a Social Media Manager, you will need to establish a direction for the Social media channel that you decide to manage.
This is an unpaid position. Volunteer and internship positions at Freelancebit comes with no commitment, no required work hours, and the freedom to pick your tasks. There is a possibility to choose how many and what type of channels you would like to manage. If you are not ready to start with multiple channels, there is an option to manage a single one.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy;
Manage and oversee SoMe content;
Manage and facilitate social media platforms by communicating with followers, responding to social media posts, and moderating discussions with users;
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies;
Monitor social channel metrics;
Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences;
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure brand consistency;
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness;
Perform competitive analysis.
Requirements:
Passionate Social Media Strategist with great leadership skills;
Knowledge of Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and other social media best practices;
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics;
Excellent multitasking skills;
Good time management skills;
Strong ethics and reliability;
Proficiency in English;
BSc/BA in Marketing or relevant fields would be beneficial.
