As Director, Product Management you will be a key stakeholder for all products on the ME (Material Exchange) platform. You will gather requirements on both tactical and strategic plans to launch new products for our team, participate and lead planning sessions, and write the book on our process. Your skills for this role include requirements gathering, feature prioritization, product launch and marketing, data collection and analytics. You’ll pair very closely to engineering and operations to make sure we track to a product roadmap that you help develop. You’ll master our existing product, learn our verticals and client personas, and help ship our next generation of functionality. You’ll work as the lead translator for business needs into functional requirements to quickly launch multiple builds of software for both internal and external products.

Key responsibilities:
1. Extend and own ME’s Product Roadmap, as well as relevant timelines given feasibility
2. Plan at the strategic levels for new software functionality that our team will execute
3. Balance short-term and long-term goals for new and existing products
4. Develop product specifications for new features and enhancements to our frontend and backend systems
5. Ensure the success and own the delivery of product execution along with the engineering team
6. Partner with our operations team to learn how they work and develop product plans to further automate the business
7. Help us with our Go-To-Market strategy in a number of upcoming key products releases
8. Gain an understanding of our clients, enhance feedback mechanisms and approaches to acquire their feedback in order to better develop their needs into our product
9. Launch MVP’s of a number of different products
10. Become the bridge between our business needs, our product needs, and our engineering team
11. Support product launches with prioritization and ensuring they execution against the vision of the company
12. Originate new products in concert with customer needs and business model
13. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.
14. Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
15. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project
16. Negotiates contracts with consulting firms to perform research or other applicable studies or support • Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements
Experience and Education:
1. 6+ years experience in Product, Program or Engineering Management with experience in fast-paced and growing environments preferably in SaaS, e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
2. Passionate about generating big, creative ideas to grow the business and create innovative products
3. Experience with product management and data analytics tools
4. Experience in customer segmentation, research, and persona development
5. Experience launching and optimizing a marketplace service that offers different product types within it is a plus
6. Strong project management and process development capability
7. Ability to constantly keep yourself updated and learn new tools and technologies to benchmark with the best.
