Join us as ‘Head of Inventory & Trading’ and help us disrupt an entire industry! In this senior position you will implement our container trading strategy, ensuring profitable results whilst balancing container inventory and optimizing our supply chain, and report directly to the COO.

Your Mission:

• Own and define BOXHUB's entire container inventory and trading strategy

• Plan and forecast container procurement to ensure sufficient supply in order to meet fast growing demand across key markets

• Utilize your existing network in the container industry to establish access to the best long-term trading opportunities

• Build relationships and negotiate sourcing deals with the world’s top shipping lines, container leasing companies, and container factories

• Grow a network of container depots and negotiate contracts to facilitate best possible depot services across key locations

• Implement and manage data-based supply chain optimisation

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to automate inventory management systems

• Arrange one-way container lease deals with shipping lines

• Assist in establishing road transport agreements to reposition equipment

• Support in closing deals with major volume trading accounts

Required Skills:

• Minimum 8 years of container trading experience

• True deal maker motivated by negotiating best possible outcomes

• Existing high profile relationships and network in the container industry

• Strategic vision and excellent execution skills

• Digital mindset and understanding of how the industry can be improved with technology

• Demonstrated track record of repositioning equipment cost effectively

• Familiarity with negotiating depot contracts

• Experience in container sales and ideally a book of potential customers

• Having previously arranged trucking / road transport contracts is a plus

• Hands-on attitude and courage to challenge the status quo

• Great team player who helps out when needed

• High attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once

• Incredibly autonomous, driven, self-motivated, and strong problem solving skills

• Motivation to join a startup and love for building a business from scratch, with ability to see how a product and strategy can evolve
