Join us as ‘Chief Technology Officer’ and help us disrupt an entire industry! We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled CTO, who makes decisions that are instrumental to the success of the current and future operations of the company, and reports directly to the CEO.
Own, define, and articulate a strategic technical vision for our organisation
Overall responsibility for technology and end-product
Develop plans and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all tech
Hire and build our technical team, and create environment of responsibility and trust
Be a leader and give engineers context and confidence to make correct technical decisions, while establishing culture of excellence
Hands on software development until team and scale are in place
Responsible for platform infrastructure, including performance and uptime
Develop and embed excellent communication practices with technical team and across organisation to ensure high degree of alignment as we scale
Share, participate in, and own the evolution of our values
Embed clear framework for productivity and velocity in order to ensure we’re scaling effectively
Write product and technical specifications, layout priorities
Implement technology standards and best practices
Provide market insights to ensure strategy stays current and contributes to our competitive advantage
Minimum 5 years as hands-on developer/architect
Minimum 2-5 years leading technical teams
Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering OR equivalent experience
Having set up and scaled high-performance technology teams in fast growing organisations
Solid technical background and ability to code with quality
Increasing levels of leadership responsibility throughout career
Strategic thinker, effective communicator, and expert in technology development
Proven well rounded and multi-dimensional team leader
Demonstrated delivery capability with deep understanding of business mechanics
Experience with several different technologies and systems
Strong track record of scaling technical infrastructure and architecture of complex platforms
