Technical Producer

BLAST is the Production Partner for a number of live music shows that are streamed out on Twitch every week. The shows take place across a number of territories across the week with artists from those countries appearing on the show for a Q&A as well as live performances. The streams are currently running at three per week with further territories being launched in the new year.

The Technical Producer reports into the Series Producer, supporting the roll out of the show to each individual market it launches in.

The main focus of the Technical Producer is managing the Series Broadcast Provider.

Role as Technical Producer;

●       Support Series Producer overseeing each individual market

●        Assist Series Producer with onboarding local teams for territory launches

●        Working closely with Series Producer to ensure that territories are approaching each production to accommodate the brief & fit into budget

●        Project Manage the production from a technical perspective. Having visibility across each territory making sure they are in line with the sessions format

●       Manage the relationship with the Series Broadcast Provider by;

1. Overseeing all technical needs

2.  Working with the Broadcast Provider to refine technical specifications 

3. Cross checking quotations to ensure requirements are met and are in line with budgets set and the format of the show

4. Liaison with Series PM to sign off costs with Broadcast Supplier

●        Support for the local Editorial & Production teams on all production requirements;

1. Has visibility across all territories pre-production

2. Working closely with local teams to steer decision making and green light ideas as and when needed

3. Work with local editorial to develop ideas and concepts to keep the streams current

4. Sensor checking streaming rehearsals with Series Producer

5. Offering support on technical debriefs

●        Project Management of additional shows out of scope shows as required

●        Deputizes for the Series Producer

●        Support Series Producer as and when required with client management

●        Work closely with Series Producer to organize and improve the project management processes, identify problems and blockers to ensure quality of streams

●        Assisting Series Producer with Broadcast & Supplier PO’s

●        Responsible for delivery to set budgets

●        Feeding into Series Producer for budgetary purposes

Abilities required;

●     Experience with live and pre-recorded studio shows / OBs

●     Experience with live streaming

●     Experience managing 3rd party tech suppliers

●     Ability to multitask, working across multiple projects simultaneously

●     Comfortable with running a small team

●     Meticulous attention to detail

●     Knowledge of Twitch would be a bonus

●     Fluent in English

The position is full-time for a period of 7 weeks starting on January 4, 2021.
