We are growing rapidly and expanding across several markets within Europe. We are building sales teams in each market and looking for the right person to help scale, lead and develop the team as our new Sales Director. Our current sales team of 15 people is expected to double within the next year!
Are you experienced in building, scaling and leading top performing global sales teams? Do you get your energy and drive from developing people and nurturing them on a day-to-day basis into becoming tomorrow's sales superstars?
Our new Sales Director will be a key driver in supporting our rapid business growth by taking full ownership of our sales department of roughly 15 members across 10+ markets in Europe. We expect to double the size of the team within next year!
The position will report directly to our current Managing Director of Sales, who is located in Hamburg.
We are flexible in regards to working location and travelling within our organisation will be frequent.
What you’ll do:
Hands-on day-to-day management of the global sales team
Conduct weekly and bi-weekly 1on1's and team meetings with global sales team
Recruit, lead and develop effective sales teams across the organisation with the support of our Talent Acquisition Team
Lead by example, be available and act as a mentor to successfully empower your team
Conduct online and physical sales training and organise development plans for your sales team members
Work with C-level to define sales KPIs for your team. Track and monitor team performance and ensure smooth reporting to the management
Foster proactive and open communication as well as diversity within the team
What we're looking for:
Minimum 8 years’ relevant and progressive experience in hands-on sales management (preferably within a tech or online company)
Proven ability to lead, scale and closely manage global sales teams, setting ambitious KPI's and instilling an effective sales culture with high energy
Loves to be close to the team and provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring
Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation and ability to prioritise value-adding activities
Talent magnet: Proven track record attracting and retaining “A” players
Fluency in written and spoken English
Willingness to travel internationally to visit our various sales offices and local sales representatives
