Backend Engineers are part of a cross-functional team responsible for the end-to-end experiences on Android, iOS, and the web. Jyve values and fosters a collaborative environment where product, design, QA, and engineering work together every day to build and design new features for their customers.

What you will be doing at Jyve:

• Build, test, and release features in Python code running on a containerized server-side application on Google Cloud

• Translate complex business requirements into Django data models to build out their service offerings

• Build out integrations with their customers and transform complex data formats to work with their data pipeline

• Write and deploy clean unit tests for all production code with a goal of 100% code-coverage.

• Create Postgres database queries and optimize for scale and high availability

• Work with mobile and frontend teams to design, build and deploy performant APIs

Things that make you a good fit:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field

• A minimum of three (3) years of related experience

• Experience in REST API development and design

• Experience with web frameworks, such as Django and Django Rest Framework

• Experience developing server-side technologies using Python

• Experience with data pipeline design and implementation

Mandatory:
