Head of Operations

Salary €1,500 - €1,500

Are you an analytical thinker with amazing team working skills and a determination of delivering quality on time? As Junction's Head of Operations, you’ll be responsible for organizing physical events, ranging from hackathons to speaker events. This includes various tasks, but the key thing is to make sure that these event organizing projects keep going forward in schedule in all areas.


Responsibilities

  • Planning the right operational model for the flagship hackathon of 2021 together with Head of Global Operations

  • Coordinating the relationships with production partners, such as venue providers and material & infra subcontractors

  • Recruiting and leading team leads, who take care of the execution of the plans and recruiting group leads and team members

  • Handling the practicalities at the office and inventories

  • Planning and executing other physical events besides the flagship hackathon, such as “Hackathon as a Service” projects for companies, other smaller hackathons and speaker events

The perfect candidate

Here’s what we require from you and your know-how:

  • Previous project management and leadership experience (doesn't need to be on a significantly large scale, but at least to some degree)

  • You are coordinating things in very many different fronts and get to plan your job very freely, so working systematically, being well-organized and having good self-management skills are required

  • You have a strong “get things done” mentality and you get motivated when reaching your goals

  • You can handle stress well and finish your tasks in tight time frames

  • You’ll be working closely with other team members, essentially with our Head of Global Operations, and therefore strong teamwork and communication skills are essential

  • You have a basic knowledge of Google Workspace tools

  • You are fluent in English, good Finnish skills are an advantage

Other details

This role is perfect for a student or for someone who has just hopped into the work life. We usually work at our Kamppi office and working remotely is naturally allowed.
