ROLE KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER - SWEDEN

TEAM ENTERPRISE SALES

How will you spend your time at Penneo?

As our future Key Account Manager you will be responsible for your own client portfolio of existing clients in the Swedish market. However, you will initially spend a significant amount of time acquiring new business, while working towards a 70/30 split in favour of existing clients as our share of the market grows. With constant support from the team, you will maintain an overview of each client’s respective business and help them apply Penneo’s solution to solve their challenges in the best way possible. 

More specifically this translates into the tasks listed below:

  • Manage existing- and develop new relationships with strategic accounts in the Swedish market.

  • Drive best practices in integrated account management, client revenue growth and client satisfaction towards the top 500 companies in Sweden.

  • Create and maintain an opportunity pipeline and drive consistent account specific activities.

  • Act as a sparring partner for key clients in Sweden and help them achieve higher adoption rates with the Penneo software.

  • Represent Penneo at industry and client events.

 

How will this role progress? 

During the 1st month:

  • You become introduced to Penneo and the Penneo platform, sales cycles, and strategy for the Swedish market.

  • You meet with your new colleagues and go through the Penneo onboarding flow.

  • You attend internal stakeholder meetings.

  • You participate in client meetings with people from your team.

 

Within 3 months:  

  • You initiate and hold own client meetings supported by team members or Head of Sales.

  • You possess a solid understanding of the business value of Penneo’s solution.

  • You are able to create and articulate compelling value propositions around Penneo’s services. 

 

Within 6 months:  

  • You are regularly gathering insights from the Swedish market and feeding back information to the Enterprise Sales team and Marketing.

  • Together with your team and the Head of Sales you have formulated a game (action or business) plan for the Swedish market and been able to execute on parts of it. 

 

Within 1 year: 

  • You are a crucial member of a growing international sales team that provides best in class SaaS solutions and senior consultancy to our clients. 

  • You are able to develop and execute against a comprehensive account plan. 

  • You work with partners to extend reach and promote adoption. 

  • You are able to manage complex customer interactions. 

  • You have developed long-term strategic relationships with key accounts. 

  • You ensure customer satisfaction and deliver a best in class customer experience. 

  • You plan, develop and execute short- and long term strategies to ensure Penneo’s success in the Swedish market. 

 

During all this time, you will partake in the iterative process of building, shaping, and improving Penneo’s sales processes for success. If you do your job well, we promise that there will be places for you to develop in our organization. 

 

What makes you a great match for this role?

There are many paths to being successful in this role, but we are looking for a senior profile with wisdom to share from past experiences. As such, we expect that the following skills and characteristics will lead to success in this role: 

  • Experience from B2B solution sales and SaaS

  • Experience from stakeholder management, involving systematically identifying stakeholders; analysing their needs and expectations; and planning and implementing various tasks to engage with them.

  • Experience from portfolio management and client revenue growth

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and ensuring positive net churn

  • Excellent planning, collaboration and presentation skills 

  • The ability to explain complex solutions in simple terms

  • Language fluency in Swedish and English

In addition, it would make you really stand out if you have:

  • A background in legal and/or finance

  • An interest for sales leadership and/or coaching

  • Additional language skills

 

Who will be in your team? 

You’ll be part of our Enterprise Sales team led by Therése Hategan. With the help of our colleagues in Sales Development, we work hard to expand Penneo’s presence and market share in the Nordic region. In our daily conversations with everything from CFOs and HR directors to lawyers and entrepreneurs, we strive to stay informed about our clients’ respective businesses, as well as to educate ourselves on their needs.
