Job description

As a Full Stack Engineer at WasteHero, you will be able to challenge yourself solving optimization problems for collecting waste, while contributing to our mission of a greener, cleaner and smarter waste collection worldwide!

• Develop new features to solve real-life customer problems.

• Spark creativity in design sessions with your team and think out of the box to meet customer needs.

• Work with product managers and engineers who are eager to get your take on issues.

• Dare to go new ways to solve technical problems and take ownership.

• Improve and scale our platform as we continue to grow our business.

Responsibilities

To be a good fit for this role, you should enjoy accuracy and diving into deep problems and data patterns to find solutions. Your responsibilities will be:

• Active part of managing the cloud department

• Making scalable features which can interact with multiple products 

• Design and implement project structures, APIs, database and microservices

• Control and maintain the development environment, and carry out regular updates on the production servers

• Take part in code review and peer review

• Cover current code with tests and perform refactoring of the existing architecture

Requirements

You are a curious, self-motivated and communicative person who has a strong desire to learn and ready to join a startup with few formal procedures and limits. 

• 5+ years of experience working with large scale software applications

• Industry experience working with backend development, preferably in Django

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar

• Expertise with client-side JavaScript and HTML based UI development

• Expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL)

• 3+ years industry experience with languages: Python, JavaScript, SQL

• 3+ years industry experience with services/frameworks: AWS, React, GraphQL, MQTT server and Apollo client

• Familiar with ECMA, eslint and Material UI

• Project management experience in agile development

• Understand how to interact closely with product people (written and verbal)
