We are looking for an Accounting Manager, who will help us build the financial backbone behind our fast growing and sustainable bike sharing model and lift the finance organization of Donkey Republic to the next level and beyond.

Donkey Republic is expanding its fast-growing company and is seeking a talented individual to join the family. As part of the Finance team you will help build our groundbreaking bike service. We are 14,000 bicycles large, expecting to serve +1million customers this year in 10 large and another 50 smaller cities in Europe.

What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious finance expert, who has a deep understanding of accounting matters and has the necessary eye for details. At the same time it is important that you enjoy driving change both by yourself and within a team. With both your expertise and passionate attitude you will help bring the finance organization of Donkey Republic to the next level and beyond.
You will be reporting directly to the CFO and be part of small but strong finance team. At Donkey Republic cross departmental collaboration is part of our daily lives and we expect you to be an integral part of that, especially through providing financial solutions and insights to the organization.
The company has been growing both in regards to markets and products over the last years and we anticipate this to continue even more in the month and years to come. So now we need you to set up the right and scalable structure on the finance side to accommodate the accounting and business needs even better then we are already doing it.
You should excel in a dynamic and demanding environment by being agile, while also being capable to stand your ground when implementing new standards and processes.
Your main task will be the monthly closing process, for which you will have the overall responsibility. This requires you to both define the bigger picture, but also to not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and go into the operational trenches of the daily accounting work. You need to be capable to work with Visma e-conomics and also have experience with MS Dynamics or other ERP systems, since we are also planning an upgrade in this area soon. This is just as important as the capability to deliver the necessary quality upon deadlines.
Your experience from working for a larger audit firm or an international active cooperation will help you define and implement standards in regards to accounting and reporting.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Be responsible for the monthly closing process of both the Group and the Danish subsidiaries.
Financial accounting especially for the general ledger and the intercompany consolidation
Establish and implement a sound and scalable transfer pricing strategy for all our entities
Optimize and automate current accounting processes
Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Provide financial status information, including monthly reports for the board, as well as by preparing other special reports
Maintain general ledger accounts and make reconciliations of the balance sheet to secure high quality of accounting data
Provide financial insights and guidance to other departments
Assisting in developing budget models
We expect that you:
Have worked at least 5 years as an accountant for an international company or as an auditor.
Have a university degree in Finance, Accounting (or similar), further qualification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
Very good understanding of Danish accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Expert knowledge in the accounting software e-conomics and at least one other accounting system, experience with the rollout of such is a plus
Super user in Excel and experience in building complex financial models – experience with Google Sheets is also a plus
Have experience with international growth companies and are familiar with both Software as a Service and Mobility as a Service business models
Pay great attention to detail and deadlines and have structured reporting skills
Can organize, coordinate and balance multiple-tasks at the same time
